Second time staying at Hotel de Vile and just booked a third. WONDERFUL place. Love the real glass glasses and wine opener in the rooms. I would recommend the Empire Room for a place to eat. Thanks you Chef Jeremy with the special food needs.

This is the place for a wonderful girls weekend getaway - European styling with shabby chic character galore. Fabulous gardens and perfect location to visit all the galleries and shops. Can't wait to return.

It was suggested we stop for brunch at this hotel. Brunch was fresh, made on site and delicious. It was clear the ingredients were local, and the chef created delicious dishes including quiche, red mashed potatoes, eggs, carved pork loin, mozzarella and tomato salad with basil and vinaigrette, croissants, fresh apple pie with the best crumble on top, and many...

The Captain's quarters. We were lucky to get this charming space! Nice and clean unit and the bed was just right! Another location pointed us to the Hotel and we just called the number and the owner came right over and took care of us. We hope to return soon, with reservations this time! Great view overlooking the river!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was clean and comfortable. It was easy to check in and check out. The garden was neat and everything was just super unique. We would stay here again if we come to Alma.

We stayed one night at the Hotel De Ville in Alma, WI. It was a little confusing checking in as we wandered around the Fire and Ice Coffee Shop where we were told to check in. I went out to the gardens in back and saw a man out there and asked if he knew where we checked in. Turned...

Lovely accommodations in The Falcon house, a property of Hotel de Ville. Full kitchen, and a patio for our cheese purchased at the Creamery in Nelson , and wine from Danzinger winery. Highly recommended.

Our two bedroom apartment was a perfect stop over on a road trip up the Great River Road. This historic inn is right across the street from Lock and Dam No. 4 where you can sit in the front sunroom and watch the barges move along the river. Or if you prefer a shady garden you can sit outside in...

Four of us stayed at The Falcon Cottage and it was perfect for us. There was plenty of room, four beds, and a nice deck to enjoy after a rainy day. It is furnished beautifully and we had everything we needed. Dan gave us some history of the place and a few recommendations, and then we were on our own...

I'm finding the negative review from March 2016 hard to believe. We stayed at the Falcon House last Saturday night and it was immaculate. What a fantastic little cottage. I love all the special little touches - like the books in the bedrooms. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in one of...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel de Ville is located right in the town of Alma Wisconsin which is listed on the National Historical Register. The suites and rooms are appointed in period antiques with a french accent. They are the finest in this part of the State. Our guests love our French formal and Italianate gardens as much as they love our pillow top queen or king mattresses. All Suites have air conditioning which is not the norm in Alma. The stunning Empire Room restaurant is on site and is a destination in itself. Hotel guests are always first in line for reservations. You can enjoy a beer or cocktail on our patio. We look forward to meeting you! ... more   less
