The hotel is very simple. The coffee is good, we had lunch at the restaurant and the food was good too. I think they can improve in some aspects, such as the cleaning of the rooms (our was with the pot very dirty e.g. there was no garbage bag in the bathroom too), the tv is old, the balcony light was not working and there is no blackout in the window, then it is clear as soon as dawn. We had a problem with the door, but it was resolved. The staff were super courteous and polite at all times.

Spent one week at the hotel. Really relaxing time, the staff is very courteous, not very good with English, but they certainly try and make the effort to assist. The restaurant by the pool is perfectly located, you can see the ocean in the front. The beach is just a minute walk away from the hotel. The rooms are large but sadly not well lit. There is wi-fi in the hotel, although the speed is a concern. Overall, recommendable for a stay when you want to get away from the busy city life.

I just came back from Ihleus and had a great time at La Dolce Vita Hotel. Beautiful location on a white sand beach and a very relaxing atmosphere. The Italian restaurant "Rosina" and the fact that the hotel management speaks Italian are a great plus

Excellent stay, calm, peaceful location, direct access from the hotel to the beach, like walking in the sand. We spent a week of total rest, relaxing. Very well organized hotel, has three beautiful blue macaws running free inside, a swimming pool cleaned every day, a top-notch restaurant and impeccable service. We will definitely be back...

I had a hard time finding a hotel in Ilheus using search engines. I stumbled upon the "La Dolce Vita" hotel website and contacted them directly. The front desk spoke some English (more than they will admit) and I was able to book my stay. I was a little nervous since I had not see the hotel pics. When I arrived i was absolutely pleased. I took a shower and went to the Italian restaurant which was great!!! I had an ocean view overlooking the pool. This hotel cost me $71. 00 pernight! What a bargain!!!!!! I saw maybe 4 people the whole time I stayed here! Breakfast was free every morning and there was 24 hour security. I rented a car and parked the car behind the gated parking lot! The staff was awesome!!! if you want a peaceful vacation I highly recommend this hotel! I loved it!!!!!!! I highly recommend the "Dois Navagacion" Restaurant un the road from La Dolce Vita Restaurant.

very good hotel, with a nice swimming pool and next to the beach. It is a little far away from Ilheus, but the reception can easily call for cabs. Rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is nice and the breakfast food is varied and typical.

Having spend multiple nights and days in the hotel, still finding an idealic place ; at the border of the beach, a couple of meters from the sea. Rooms are large, clean, have free internet. The breakfast is an extended buffet ; in a separate room with view on the swimming pool, sea. In the same place, you can also enjoy your lunch. Dinner can be taken in the very good quality Italian restaurant. The staff in restaurant is not speaking any English ; at the reception, English or French are possible. A highly recommendaded hotel.
