I spent four nights in this bed & breakfast, and I felt part of the family from day one. The owner and personnel are kind and helpful, the owner has helped me a lot in deciding where to go (and where *not* to go), and helped me set up tours around with an agency if needed. The (single) room I...

O albergue fica num bom lugar entre Barra e o Rio Vermelho. O dono e a equipe dele são super amaveis. É um hostel super limpo e confortavel e o visto do mar é impressionante. Good location between Barra and Rio Vermelho. Set on peninsula with very beautiful view of ocean. Friendly and helpful staff with American-Brazilian owner. Clean and...

Great location, just steps from the beach and very well serviced for transport in and around Salvador. Michael was a great host and gave useful information on places of interest. The breakfast was yummy - I don't think there are many other places that have that kind of view to take your morning coffee! Clean and tidy, all you need...

Stayed here one night on my own, it was not busy so I had a 6 bed dorm to myself. They organised for me to get picked up from the airport as I was arriving in Salvador late at night and didn't fancy the bus. It's lovely and clean and right next to the beach. They have lockers you can...

I recently went to this HOSTEL on the 30/07/2012 after reading the reviews and reading the“HOTELS” listing for the town of Salvador and when I arrived it was a total shock to realise that this HOSTEL is a HOSTEL and not a HOTEL and should have been listed in “Speciality lodging “like all the other HOSTELS and Youth HOSTELS in...

My husband and I stayed at Albergue Pedra da Sereia for 4 nights in April/May 2012. Michael and his staff made the experience very pleasant. Because we were there in the off season, we had the place to ourselves and got to take full advantage of the amazing terrace overlooking the water. The location of the hostel was great for...

Michael and his staff members receive you in a very friendly manner, you'll feel at home at once! It's right at the sea, absolutely beautiful sight from the terrace, you're at the beach in literally one minute, it's safe and you'll make friends with many of the friendly guests. This is a place I would recommend to my close friends...

We stayed here in a dorm room for carnaval and found Michael´s knowledge of the area and advice invaluable. The hostel is very relaxed, just off the edge of the barra circuit which is good, as its nice and quite amidst the craziness of carnaval! Lovely staff, lots of places to chill, decent breakfast. Would definitely recommend this to anyone...

Nice clean, well located small hostel in Salvador. Michael and his staff are extremely helpful, it is small and personable and feels like a home away from home, which is invaluable in a place like Salvador. The only problem is the hammocks on the verandah overlooking the ocean are so nice it's hard to leave them and go explore the...
