Before I get into detail, you need to know what you are booking here. This is a hotel for less than R$100 near the beach in Fortaleza. This is not a 4 or 5-star resort, but it is a very nice for a basic hotel.

The lobby area is open with nice sitting areas and several computers with internet access. We could not get our laptop or iPhone connected to the wifi, but they do have free wifi and we must have just had a problem that day because I do not see anyone else complaining about it.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic and clean. Air conditioner worked great and plenty of hot water for the shower (my 2 requirements). We did not eat breakfast there, but it looked good. There is a small underground parking garage (maybe 6-8 spaces) where you can park for free if you have a rental car.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way back to the airport and it met all of our needs. Not sure I would make an extended stay here, but I would definitely return in the future on my way in or out of Fortaleza.

The location is a short taxi or moderate walk to many great restaurants in the area. Like most of Fortaleza, I would not recommend walking alone after 10pm.

A great inexpensive option to stay in Fortaleza, near the beach, VERY friendly service, they helped out with a problem I had. Good breakfast selection and a simple, light airy room. Highly recommended!

We stayed one night at Casa Da Praia when attending the Spain v Nigeria game in the Confederations Cup. For the price paid we were very happy. Definitely value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was more than enough for my wife and I. Room was very comfortable. Couldn't comment on hot water as due to the heat (35 degrees in winter!) I only took cold showers. They were certainly very good! Located minutes from the beach and several restaurants of varying quality. Didn't venture out late at night but certainly felt safe walking around in the day. If you are not expecting 5 star quality you should be very happy at a very good hotel for the price.

I traveled to Fortaleza on august-2012 and stayed 5 days in this hotel. The hotel is simple, has a good location and a nice breakfast. It´s next to Iracema beach, Pirata Bar, Meireles bridge. If you don´t like to walk, you can find bus stop 2 blocks from the hotel to go to the beaches and downtown OR taxi drivers waiting for passengers in front of the hotel.

Great staff and great location. Good breakfast; safe in the room; free wi-fi. Very close to the beach, all activities, and restaurants but on a quiet street. Only stayed one night, in transit to another city. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Fortaleza.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The location was excellent, a very close walk to the beach. The staff, particularly Rodrigo from reception, who speaks English, was tremendously helpful. He assisted us in booking a tour to Morro Branco on a very short notice. There are various restaurants around this hotel, all walking distance. I particularly recommend the restaurant located right across the street. Breakfast consisted of a decent spread. The room was rather basic, could use some renovations and the hotel could be kept cleaner.

Very friendly and helpful personnel. I was positively impressed with the fact they they paid attention to my wish not to put me on the ground floor.
The hotel interior and equipment in general is a but old&shabby but very well maintained, congratulations to the attentive staff again! Everything works and functions perfectly, great bed sheets and mattress!

Great value for the price i paid, and i would definitely give it an Excellent note if not one detail
- attention to the management: if you say that you have cable TV, you have to buy a subscription a bit more then basic. It doesn't help to say you have Sky, and then have only the basic package which is the same as the channels one gets from any parabolic antenna. When the customer wants cable TV, it means he wants at least to see something like CNN, Universal Channel etc. Maybe i tried hard but found only the Brazilian channels.

Fortaleza is clearly not a tourist destination. But access to Jeri and other attractions is the reason we stayed here. Get a room on an upper floor. First floor rooms are below street level and pretty grim.
Huge Brazilian breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit and breads. Staff is very helpful, some even speak some English or Spanish! One staff-er even arranged an airport shuttle for us to the hotel at a fair rate. Some lobby computers for half-decent web access for those luddites among us who don't carry tablets to Brazil ;-) Casa de Praia is clean, basic, helpful, quiet. Recommended.

We stayed here for 2 nights as a gateway to Jericoacoara (which is a must do if you have time). The airport transfer we had requested was great and smooth. Wifi great, room clean, breakfast plentiful, staff great and helped us with booking our bus transfers. We spent a day at the beach, walk to the farther beach though don't stick around at the part closest to the hotel since this is the end and you feel more safe closer to the action. Saw some questionable characters. Had dinner right next to te hotel since we weren't up for the adventure. Good place.

Spent 3 night in this hotel. It is very simple but with all amenities: breakfast, wifi in the room, pillowtop mattress and a pretty decent shower, all for less that 55 USD a night. Dont expect a 4 star hotel it is much more a 2,5 one.
