I spent there for about a week and the experience couldn't be the best. The hostel is always full of funny people and always able to go out and have some fun. The employees are very polite and ready to help you if you need, most of them are bilingual and it makes all the difference. Installations are good and...

We stayed here in a private room for one night and we felt pretty safe here. When in Fortaleza, stay in the city center, since it is much safer than outside the center. And be careful when you are out at night. Nothing to complain about this hostel: very friendly owner and staff and decent rooms. We didn't meet a...

I visited Hostel Terra da Luz last summer during the World Cup. It was my first stop, and I had an absolute blast. Nico and Caritas were INCREDIBLY hospitable. They helped us set up a few nights in the hostel, a trip by 4x4 to Jericoacoara, and then another couple nights for a second World Cup game in Fortaleza. They...

I am an older traveller and I stayed at this hostel during the soccer world cup (goooo USA!!), and I must admit, I was extremely disappointed. I booked a place in a 4 bed dorm and I was surprised to discover that it had been converted into a room packed full of DIY triple bunks - we felt like battery...

Hostel Terra da Luz was one of our best hostelling experiences. It was our first stop in Brazil for the World Cup, and couldn't have been a better introduction to the festival of football! The rooms were crowded (as you'd expect during the World Cup), but due to the helpfulness and attitude of the owners and staff, everyone had a...

We had a incredible time during the last wouldcup games and could enjoy the lovely discussions of the holland-German footballrelationship with with the owner Nico and his wife...

I don't normally write reviews on hostels, in fact most people these days only write reviews when they have a terrible experience. For the first time in my life, I want to write a review. My 3 friends and I from Sydney travelled to Fortaleza during the world cup and I have to say that our time in the hostel...

We arrived at this place after seeing all the previous positive reviews with high hopes. After staying at many hostels all over the world, this place was comfortably the worst. First of all I should mention our stay was during the World Cup so we expected the hostel to be a little crowded and all rooms full. This would not...
