We stayed in the hotel for over 7 days. It is located very close to the beach (across the street), the neighbourhood may not be the best one but you can easily get Uber ride to the city center. The hotel is well maintained and staff is nice and very friendly (especially Adriano from the restaurant/beach bar - was very responsive and always when needed). We defiantly recommend the place!
We stayed at the Vila Galé in Fortaleza this summer. We were looking for a hotel close to the beaches and the city, and with a good affordable price. Already with food included and room service, and we couldn't miss the pool. And we couldn't be happier with our experience. It’s a four-star hotel, from the pictures we were expecting the building to be modern but in fact it has a very rustic style inside. One thing that surprised everyone was that the rooms were very large and comfortable and the bathrooms were also very large. Besides, the service is super good because there people are super friendly and funny. However one thing that should improve is parking because one of the parking is private and the other is shared with the hotel in front, and the convenience stores inside the hotel were not good because there were no things that should have (like slippers and swimsuits), not just souvenirs. This hotel is obviously not that cheap, but it is worth the price because it is a very quiet place, very well located, with a beautiful view to the sea, with some very good foods and activities for children. This hotel is ideal for going with children up to 7 years old because it has many activities, and to go with friends too as it is cheap and quality. My final grade is 4 stars. Very good hotel !!!…
Air conditioning in the room wasn’t working and they didn’t change us to another room. We had the room for one night and couldn’t sleep because it was over 30° inside the room.
It's the worst hotel I ever stay in Brazil, they no have speaking English staff, if you try to order something at room service they don't understand a word of English neather Spanish. The lobby don't have air conditioner and all day long smell like crap because the cook don't have a good exhaust system. In the room was a leak in the sealing. The beach in front of the hotel it's dirty. The menu in the buffet it's poor and almost no international food offer, only some pizzas and bad quality Brazilian food. Fortaleza it's a dangerous and polluted city, the have a petroleum refinery. The hotel it's surrounded by favelas you cant take a walk in the night. Don't go to this hotel ir fortaleza, my worst experience in Brazil ever!!!! Don't throw your money there!!!!!
Just had 1 extra night here and it was a pleasant one. The hotel is quite big and quite busy however once youre in your room its quite quiet. The view we had was not great was just of the adjacent hotel wall. One really bad point about this hotel was that my room didnt have Brazilian sockets.. only European, and I chose to leave my European adaptor at home in Lisbon! The pool area wasnt crowded but got a little crowded towards the evening time. Didnt eat in the hotel for my time there so I cant comment on the food. Really close to the beach and I think the beach bar directly across the road belongs to the hotel, so if youre inclusive you can have food and drinks there too. Seen some other reviews about the rooms looking old, so theyre not super modern but all I really needed was a comfy bed and working shower!! Definitely sees itself as a luxury hotel, and it was better than the previous hotel I stayed in for a week before. Would return - travelled in January 2017.…
I stayed here for a medical convention. It is located by the beach and a 15 minute drive to Ceara Convention Center. The hotel has a rustic appeal, accommodations are simple, but large and clean. The hotel has a beach club right in front with amenities to make your day at the beach more comfortable. Breakfast was good enough with lots of fruits and different kinds of bread. There is not much options for dinner nearby and since I was not in a mood to take a taxi to go somewhere else I decided to use the hotel buffet. Every night they had a thematic dinner in order to avoid being repetitive. I had the Portuguese night and the seafood night. Overall the food was very good, especially the cod fish and the duck rice - two very Portuguese specialties. I knew when I made the reservation what to expect and the hotel fit my expectations. However, Vila Gale Fortaleza is not a high end resort, but a touristic hotel with 3.5 star services/accommodation; comfortable and clean.…
This is one of the most terrible Resort all inclusive I ever have been. First of all, the rooms are old, which would be ok if the rest were good, but just not. The food is horrible, really mean terrible. Believe when you see comments saying is almost impossible to eat, because is really true. The most difficult thing to do is eat! The flavor is disgusting in all aspects, and I have a lot of considerations regarding the cleaning. Specially in the restaurants close to the swimming pool. Don't to the special restaurant, it is even worst. Wine an sparkling wine pretty bad too. Very expensive for basic stuff. Get way from this place! To be fair, the beach in front is very nice, but nobody serves you there!
I'm sitting here at the hotel almost crying. The hotel is ok (typical Brazilian 5 stars, nothing special, most 70's buildings, but ok). The food is ok. Typical Brazilian style: buffet or coma por quilo. The internet comes and goes... but that's ok. But what really drives me to write this review is the beach. It is unbelievable how dirty the beach is. Full of plastic straws, beer tops, plastic bags and plastic bottles, let alone cigarette filters. Those things go directly to the sea animals! Aren't we trying to leave a better place for our children? Where did all the climate change awareness speeches go? As you can see in the pictures, this is simply unbelievable! I stayed almost an hour cleaning the beach that is full of waste bins! Close the hotel if you cannot maintain a clean and environmentally friendly place. Where are the authorities? Am I the only one guest shocked? I'm in room 1014 until tomorrow 10/11/2016…
This hotel is very very old, and the facilities show it. The rooms are in terrible condition, specially for a hotel that is considered to be "5 stars". The showers don't really work, have mold and calcium build up, are rusted - over not very clean. The safe in the rooms don't have lock mechanism, the pool water is dirty - not a great hotel stay at all.
I spent 7 nights at this hotel and have a nice stay. The hotel has nice accomodations, altough for its size, it gets a little bit noise, even after hours, because of its layout, where the pool area are in the center and most of the rooms face it. Its is well located at the Futuro Beach, it is relativelly calm, even on week ends.
