The hotel is rather dated in comparison to the glossy pictures shown online. The jacuzzi is no longer in operation, the gym/steam/solarium are like a building site and need the fire exit stairs for access. The rooftop only has 4 loungers for the entire hotel to use. The hotel is rated as 5* but believe me in 2022 it would be 3* at best. I was disappointed by the hygiene of the hotel - dirty windows and elevators. Maintenance came to fix my aircon and left dirty footprints all over my room. The receptionist tried to charge me on check-in even though I'd paid via Expedia, and at check out I was almost over charged again! Upon checking out I was informed there would be no access at all to the hotel after 12pm, I couldn't use the pool for a few hours or get changed before my flight. $35 per hour is charged for late checkout. Overall the hotel looks amazing online but in real life, I was really underwhelmed by the facilities and the lack of customer service offered. It would be refreshing if management actually took note of all these negative reviews and improved their hotel to it's former 5* glory, but that would take effort and money - so I doubt anything will ever change.…
Not a very good hotel. The bed was terrible, the check-in took forever, the corridors do not have an elevator button to go up so if you want to go to the roof top, where the pool is located you must get inside the lift and hope that it is going up before it goes down. The towels were in bad conditions. One night we were tired and decided to eat in the hotel restaurant, a mistake. We ordered hamburgers. The bread and the meat pads were disintegrating, falling apart, it had no taste and was also over cooked. One the good side the breakfast was nice. There was a senior gentleman, that seamed to be in charge who was very nice to everyone and looking after details. Also, the front desk agent during check-out was very nice too. She offered to look after our bags and called the restaurant to make sure they would let us in since it was a little before opening time and we were leaving very early.…
The hotel is well located, but the service is definitely not a 5-star. That includes service, staff (front desk and managers), rooms... etc. The staff treats you differently according to your color, origin, sex and gender. I would never go back to this hotel.
This Hotel is far from a 5 star. Old fashioned rooms, ugly bathroom with black dirty/mold between tiles and simple breakfast (it took me 40 minutes to get a “tapioca”). I don’t recommend this hotel. The only good thing is the location.
The hotel is in the best location on the waterfront. Good breakfast and services. Very kind staff. Near of restaurants and local shops. The beach in hotel front is beautiful, but, with many people offering all kind things. I recommend this hotel. I recommend.
Great location , nice room and clean , nice swimming pool. I want to thank especially a waiter in the restaurant, I don t know him name but he was there every morning during breakfast except Friday and Saturday morning. Thursday dec 19 when we had lunch at the restaurant. Very professional and speaks very good English
I was here for one week and the staff was very nice and friendly . My room was cleaned by Dayana who always had a smile on her face and tried her best to attend to my needs and kept making the most beautiful figurines from the towels ( when you find daily a towel shaped like a cute swan or bear on your bed you have a better day). A big thank you to the staff at the reception who changed my room immediately when the air conditioning was giving a bit of a smell and for the guys serving the breakfast every morning. Not all staff speaks English but they are all willing to help you and do it with a smile.
Previous to my trip I already knew the city was passing for edge sea refurbishment and when I got there I realized that the hotel door was a messy due to this. But it was not difficult to get in the hotel. The check - in took me some minutes since there was a line with at least five people waiting to be checked. After my check in, as my room was ready I was allowed to enter into my room thirty minutes in advanced. The room was big enough to fit my mommy and I that was a tv, air conditioning, two twin and very confortable beds. I had asked for two extra pillow before arriving and they got it. The breakfast was very nice, there was fresh fruits, fresh juices, yogurts, bread, cakes and the best omelet, tapioca and eggs ever ( prepared by Dalva that was in the restaurant every morning with a huge line of people crazy for Tapioca). there was two fast and intelligent elevators. There was a bar, a small pool and Jacuzzi on the roof top of the hotel with the amazing view of the beaches. Location was very nice except for get to the street market that had moved far away two km far from the hotel (they explained it was due the edge sea refurbishment and as soon as possible the street market will return to its previous location almost in front of the hotel). It was a little difficult to walk on the streets since the side walks actually doesn't exist anymore. finally everything was fine, I had fun with my mommy and the trip was nice.…
The location of the hotel is good, as it is in front of the beach. Also, you have good restaurants close to the hotel. The neighborhood is quite safe as it is full of tourists, then police patrols is common. The room was quite big, but the bathroom needs maintenance. Few things were rusted. We stay in 2 different room rates. One with sea view and the other to the side. Room sizes were the same. The first one with a queen size bed and the second with king size bed. However, the price of the sea view room... it was too much higher. It is not worthy, even if you have a great sea view. Breakfast was great with a big variety: Fruits, bread, cheese, cakes, cookies, juices, local food. Staff were very friendly and try to help you.
a nightmare, too noisy, windows so dirty that we could not take any picture of the beach. jack hammer as neighbor from the upper floor a whole afternoon.. bathroom with every elements rusty. only a small sample of conditioner for 2 people during 4 days, no bath gel neither shampoo. wifi was ok but not enough to compensate the very bad experience.
