Booked for 4 nights and stayed one cheap and nasty is an understatment, have nothing good to say about this place apart from the guy at reception spoke a little english, the room was disgusting with ants and mossies everywhere! Lose wiring for the lights the plugs didnt work properly the walls were peeling and the shower stank of sewage...

Pousada Beleza Tropical is a quite good inn. The rooms, breakfast and the building are not particularly impressive, but all of them are satisfactory. The English speaking (a rarity in Brazilian inns) friendly staff and the cost/benefit ratio, coupled with the satisfactory amenities make this pretty inn a very good budget option in Fortaleza. I was looking for a budget hotel in Fortaleza that was in the Praia de Iracema location. Being new to the area, I booked a different place that *looked* great online, but on arrival the place was a bit scary, even for me. My taxi driver suggested this place. Perfect! It is on an inner street, so don't expect amazing...
