Fantastic hotel! We stayed here for 3 weeks - our stay was impeccable. The staff is very friendly, attentive and more than helpful. Our room was clean throughout our stay. Always a smile when passing through the reception. The breakfast selection was extensive, and the staff worked as a good team. Always a smile and greeting us when we had breakfast. The staff in the bar/pool area were friendly and attentive. Thank you for amazing service! We will for sure stay at this hotel next time visiting Fortaleza.
I was on business trip and I got room 503. This is important to know because I don’t know how are the top rooms (they said they have a Nespresso machine and better view). Anyway the room is far away from being good. Furniture is wooden made and old. Wi-fi signal has some blind spots in the room and the worst part of it: the AC is central (which means you can’t change its direction) and the wind hits the bed all the way. The bed is not good also. They even changed my mattress because it looked really old and it was definitely not good for anyone’s back. The staff, though, is really nice and attentive. That is the high side of this hotel. Swimming pool is good but small when the hotel is crowded. The hotel corridors are also pretty tight what makes it hard to circulate while carrying big pieces of luggage. The hotel only has two small elevators and especially during rush hours (breakfast) you wait a long time for it. Breakfast is nice but not outstanding. Hotel is right in front of Iracema Beach which is a good place to be in Fortaleza. Good beach and good places to eat pretty close and good malls nearby (between 10 to 20 reais by cab). In a nutshell, it is not a comfy hotel. The room could be a lot better and for sure the hotel needs renovating. I’m posting 3 pictures and the one of the room is to show the AC and how the wind hits the bed straight away.…
The hotel is simple and comfortable, I recommend to use their own desk service to help with transportation for the beach park or other attractions when in Fortaleza. Nice breakfast in the morning, and a small pool... You can cross the street and get to a big beach, with a wide sand lane... Usually there are lots of people jogging, biking, walking the entire day. Public Bikes Stop near (100m) for renting. Excelent for tanning and staying for the night.
good hotel, nice people, very good breakfast. and with the view of the sea. I was in a room with a view of the ocean. It was great. Good air conditioner, hair dryer. Two small elevators, though. Sometimes we got to wait for a long time.
The Magna Praia has an incredible staff and the breakfast buffet is impressive (and delicious). The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. We were at the hotel as a transition between other places and it served it's purpose. The hotel is a bit quirky in an endearing way. The hallways are thin and the elevators are small. There's a barely-shoulder-width hallway between the elevators that you have to take to get to the stairs. The kids thought this was the coolest thing ever. The boardwalk on the beach across the street is a great place to walk, run, or work out. And the proximity to the ocean makes it convenient. The pool is really small and while the staff loves kids, the hotel is probably not the best place to vacation long term with kids. I highly recommend this hotel for business trips or for a day or two family trip if you intend to spend time elsewhere in Fortaleza during the day.…
This is a 2 1/2 stars hotel at maximum. Period. There is a pool and is in front of the sea. That is it. No parking. Breakfast service is bad, bad coffee and bad food. Everything is older, elevators, doors, furniture. Beds are too soft and TV has bad reception.
I stayed here for a few nights during the World cup in June. I booked late and this was the only place around that was somewhat affordable, but the price was still way over-inflated for the world cup. I understand that pretty much all hotels in the country did this, but it still doesn't make it right. I can understand higher rates, but when you start charging 400-500% your normal rate, you are taking greed and price gouging to another level. This hotel had a great location, especially for the world cup, with the Fan Fest right across the street on the beach. The room was nice enough for what I expected, but the staff seemed extremely slow as did the wifi. I guess this is hotel is usually probably a good value for the area, but there may be better options around by paying a minimal amount more.…
We stayed 6 nights during the World Cup so we paid premium prices. Loved the location & I thought overall the hotel was good.they let us check in early & the reception spoke English.pool bar didn't speak English though & I struggled & failed to order anything with my Portuguese.top tip get the 49 bus that stops outside to a beach the other side of the oil terminal. It's fantastic.
We stayed in the hotel. Everything was fine. Breakfast awesome, views are incredible. Lacation perfect BUT we couldn't sleep. The main road is right there, and there's a lot of traffic. One of the rooms (101)had a machine or something next to it, and the noise was pretty loud. And the mattress in 101 was a nightmare. We changed rooms and the other one wasn't so bad. We won't go back. But if you do and your mattress is fine, and you carry earplugs everything will be fine.
If you are a low budget lover, ok, you will certainly get what you pay for, otherwise, don't even think about coming to this hotel. Except from its location, everything else literally s*cks! Noisy, lack of attention from crew, cheap rooms, terrible service.
