This is a very good hotel! It has a great breakfast buffet, a great swimming pool, a great view of the beach, very nice beds, and a very peaceful location. The negative things I would say are very minor but they did make a difference for me. First, the staff were polite but not friendly. The hostesses at the breakfast buffet each morning were disappointing because they were the first staff I would see each day but they would never greet me and sometimes they would just coldly look me off. I stayed in a suite for 10 days, and these ladies knew it from their register, so for spending that much money I kind of expected a minimum amount of polite and respectful behavior. Second, the location is very peaceful but it is also a little far from other things so that might turn some people off. However, this is easily remedied by spending 3 to 4 bucks for an Uber. Third, I have been in windy locations but all night long the wind would whistle very loudly in my room. I feel like with a little TLC then the windows could be re-sealed or altered somewhat and this whistling issue would be completely resolved. If you are a light sleeper then this whistling wind issue might make it difficult to sleep. In summary, I really feel like this could be an excellent hotel if they would ask their staff to be friendly rather than just not rude.…
I had a great stay here while staying in Fortaleza, the room was very comfy with a sea view. Bar and restaurant serve great food and drinks. They do charge your bar and food orders to your room to pay at checkout, which I thought was very useful. The pool is also amazing, great temperature and chest deep. Perfect area to chill around the pool and very close to popular beaches.
Bad things: Not a 5 star breakfast. Did not clean the room for 3 days, my friend on another room they did not clean the room 1 day. You can hear anything that goes on at the corridor of your floor. Dinner, they change or order to meat when we asked fish and salmon carpacio to beef carpacio. Amenities at the room are very poor. Good: For a city hotel the swimming is ok and the best part is that the futuro beach is in front of the hotel with a great spot orbita blue restaurant!
I have been loyal to that hotel 3 times in a row. But my last experience, during the pandemie was HORRIBLE. A CUT OF AC FOR 3 1/2 HOURS, WITHOUT WARNING, TO SAVE MONEY BECAUSE NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE. Nobody told me this; I asked why, I got reasons all as fanciful as each other!THE TRUTH, BEFORE LEAVING. If you can t afford to look like a 5 stars hotel, don t pretend it with the rate! The cherry on the cake was a morning, because everything was so old-in terms of food, to find some eggs of cockroach eggs in corn flakes- i do have substantial proofs, pixs, videos, & more.... The owner Fernando had the audacity to talk to me nicely about the situation-not to eat french fires in order to have clients satisfied- EXCUSE ME, it's normal! it's not a favor(maybe Brasil, not anywhere else, travel Dear!) I paid, and got expulsed, because too demanding????- in a middle of a pandemic!!, to satisfy the little ego and unprofessionalism of that owner who makes you think he is rich-quite the opposite!.... (He didn t speak english well, -not his fault, but that s ok.) His action was almost criminal. To expel people in the middle of a pandemic in a dirty, unprofessional way, who pay a 5 star (but in fact, it is only 1 and a half star) and who have asked for explanations.…
Do not go there if you expect to chill in the pool. IT'S literally impossible! People are allowed to use speakers which they play really loud music plus people yelled.... even the children playing there are that nosiy! Impossible to rest there but it's nice
Very good. Clean. Big Outside Pool. Sea View rooms available. Cross the street for Beach access. The Team is super friendly, fast and resolve any Problem. To recommend. Breakfast with everything you need.
The rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel has a gym available and looks pretty good. The breakfast has many options of juices and fruits, the food is ok. I believe the best spot is the pool: nice and clean, not very crowded in the days I was there, with lots of pool chairs around it. A nice place to relax. In front of the hotel, is the Orbita Blue, a nice beach bar, with nice options of food and drinks.
I spent 1 week at GRAN MAREIRO Hotel in Fortaleza for business. It was my first stay in this city, but It would be hard to find a better hotel! Perfect location (2 minutes walking-distance from a very nice beach), amazing pool and fitness center, nice rand clean room, and an excellent service. I would like to personally thank Paulo and Samuel (both from reception) who were extremely kind, helpful and professional. Lima from the pool bar was very friendly and professional too. I will definitely stay at GRAN MAREIRO hotel again when I visit Fortaleza.
This hotel has many faciliteis, a wonderful swinming pool, comfortable rooms, a complete restaurant and breakfast serving local food and other options. Some special entertainment places can offer nice seafood and typical caipirinhas drinks.
Very nice reception on arrival. We got our rooms immediately upon arrival. We also received suggestions on activities and all information needed. We got an upgrade on our three rooms at a reasonable price. The dinner was really good at the hotel with excellent food accompanied by perfect wines to it. The breakfast could have been better with more choice on gluten free variants.
