Stay was terrible the room smelled like mildew the mattress on the bed was falling apart and had mold in bathroom. We were late to check in because room wasn't cleaned. Pool was closed without any warning on website was told pool had been closed for quite some time
This was the worst hotel ever! It was the Dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The carpets in the entire hotel had not been vacuumed in weeks, I never even took off my shoes. This property from the outside looked abandoned overgrown shrubs, weeds everywhere, garbage all over, and wore out. There was mold in my shower, water damaged cabinets around the kitchenette area, stained bedding, a fridge with ice Build up you couldn’t use it, and the smell of old stale cigarettes in the room.
We booked here based upon price and the 4 star review. The establishment must have paid its employees to write those reviews as this place in horribly over-rated! I should have looked more closely at the recent reviews. Had to wait over an hour for a second room, as the first was was filthy and not cleaned from the previous occupants. Our room was grossly over air-freshned, trying to cover up the cigarette smoke and funk smell. Bathroom sink was clogged and slowly drained. Hair dryer was filled with dust, just waiting to ignite. Wallpaper was peeling. And the shower floor was "spongy" under foot. AVOID!
it was very dirty, weird stains on the walls and floors. pool was closed and the “complimentary” breakfast was in a paper bag. wifi sucked, felt gross after sleeping here. Sink in the bathroom didn’t drain, room smelt like mold.
We stopped in for a one-night stay on our way south from northern Michigan. We should have kept going. On first look the hotel is interesting as you walk in. The openness of the atrium has potential. Check in was fine. The man was friendly enough. It’s a sprawling property with many areas but when you walk in and read the list of things closed (pool, hot tub, breakfast area) you’re not as inclined to walk around. It’s one thing for a property to be somewhat dated. It’s quite another for it to be dirty and not maintained. Our room had a large seating area separate from the bedroom. A small kitchen area with a microwave, refrigerator and sink. Our room was unclean, shabby and sad. First, we noticed there was no shower curtain on the shower. I walked out to the front desk and the man said he would bring me one, which he did. Second, there are two holders for toilet paper in the bathroom. One was empty and the other had 1/8 of a role remaining. No extra rolls in the room. I again walked out to the front desk and asked for another roll. The carpets were dark and dirty. There were crumbs beside one of the beds that were large enough for me to discern what kind of chips they were (cheese flavored Sun Chips). The TV had giant scratches on the screen. One of the beds had a hammock-like dip in the middle that was noticeable even when the bed was made. The promise of a breakfast was a small bag you pick up at the front desk with a golden graham bar, fruit cup and a small container of juice. Come on. It’s lazy and a disservice to travelers to play the COVID card to save money and staff time. Don’t rent the rooms if you cannot provide the service.…
