We decided to stay at a Bed & Breakfast versus a standard hotel...and it was well worth it! The Franklin Inn was beautiful and our room was huge and relaxing. There are so many details in each different room that resembles different destinations/themes (Italy) that give this place an extremely unique atmosphere. Judy was wonderful and her breakfast was BEYOND... More

We came to Wisconsin for the Saints at Green Bay football game. After a long day of travel, we finally arrived at the B&B and Mrs. Judy was friendly, inviting, and very informative. She helped us find cost-saving transportation to the game, gave us tips on good places to eat in Appleton, and local attractions such as the Farmers Market... More

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at the Franklin Inn on Durkee Bed and Breakfast. The close proximity to Lawrence University made it extremely easy to come and go while we were visiting our son during parent’s week-end. The owner, Judy, was very gracious and helpful. We were given a tour of the house, including information on... More

This is my second stay at the Franklin Inn. We will be coming back as long as our son is at Lawrence University. The rooms are tastefully decorated - all having a unique theme. You can really feel the love that is put into both of the Inns that Judy owns. Everything is clean and all the details were attended... More

I really, really wanted to be impressed by this inn. I have stayed at one B&B before, which was a great stay, but I tend to go to nice budget inns with good value rather than B&Bs when I'm travelling alone. I visited Fox Cities for a road race on a weekend that just happened to also be a Packer... More

We aim to exceed guest expectations. We tell guests to please inform us of any needs that may occur during their stay. When we are at full house capacity, like on this busy weekend, unless contacted that any concerns aren't solved yet, then we would not be aware of the problem still existing. Rest assured that any issues here with... More

Come prepared to be treated to a delightful stay. The innkeepers are attentive to every detail, actually go above and beyond expectation. They are knowledgeable about the area which can enhance one's visit. Breakfast menus are carefully prepared and presented. Inn is close to Lawrence University, interesting museums, and a performing arts center.

I was there for a retreat. Loved my sooo comfortable bed with soft flannel sheets. Hostess accommodated all of our needs, and is very knowledgable about the area and history of the home she turned into a bed & breakfast .

It was so much fun to see all the older knic knacks and decorative pieces that compliment the decor. I LOVED the woodwork and flooring! It was interesting to see the pictures in the book that kept track of all the renovations they did, mostly themselves, after they bought the older home. Alot of work, but really worth it!

The Inn is an historic home that is cozy and exudes 1880s atmosphere along with theme rooms that are a counterpoint to the mainfloor. The hosts are warm and welcoming and extend themselves to their guests to meet needs and desires. Food is delicious and elegantly served.
