Jungle lodge is a lovely house located in the jungle not far from town (a 15 minute walk). The view is spectacular, the owner very friendly and the garden lovely. At breakfast some of the fruits and vegetables came from the garden of the Jungle Lodge itself. Nice and relaxed place to stay.

We spent 2 nights at the Jungle Lodge and it wasn't enough. The place is a bit isolated (~10 minute hike from town) and once you get there the view is absolutely amazing! There's also 4 hammocks, so you can just relax and enjoy the view. Dinho, the owner is very friendly, knowledgable and makes a great breakfast! All in...

We stayed in the jungle lodge for one night and had an incredible experience. The lodge is up a steep path in the middle of the jungle and feels very isolated. You are really close to nature and all its sights and sounds, and everywhere you look you are treated to incredible views of the bays and villages down below....

I spent 5 days at jungle lodge with my wife. The owner Dinho is brilliant he has many an interesting story and will bend over backwards to help you with masses of info on Ilha Grande and most of Brazil. His laugh is something to be experienced! When we were there he had two girls from Belo Horizonte helping with...

The secret? I guess it's getting real personal attention from someone who has the passion not to just run a lodge, but to really make it his way of life. Dinho can smoke a joint with you if you want, but at the same time works very hard and has his cellphone always within reach. The well being of his...

My girlfriend and I stayed for four nights at the Jungle Lodge. We had a fantastic time and were very well looked after by Dino and Gil. It is hike (literally) up the hill and I would suggest a rucksack may be better than a wheeled case which is what we had! There are some amazing beaches on Ilha Grande...

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was really fantastic. Unfortunately the owner Dinho was away for most of the time we stayed so we didn't get the offer of dinner as other reviews mention, but his friend Gil looked after us and made delicious breakfasts every morning. He also took us out in town to watch him play...

An absolutely amazing place to stay - make sure you use the outdoor shower. Amazingly we had booked this place with very little idea about it or where it was, was one of the few places that had a vacancy when we needed it. We did not realise we had to hike up the hill to get there - not...

When coming to the Ilha Grande we spontaniously decided to have a look if there is something available at the Jungle Lodge. We were lucky and without reserving we could stay there! Every night, you are asked if you want to have dinner with the owner and other guests! It was such good food and the best Caipirinha ever! We...

We had the best experience at the jungle lodge. Not only was the breakfast perfect and the scenery beautiful, Dino was the perfect hist for this cosy lodge. Don't miss climbing the pirot peak, it's gives an incredible view on the island.
