Kind, wonderful welcome throughout our stay in Pousada Très Coqueiros. A privileged location with an incredible view of the sea and the landscape of Bananal Cove... Privileged place far from tourists. They do everything to make us feel comfortable. Perfect service.
Very generous breakfast: fruit, fresh juice, omelette, breads, cakes, jam, ham, cheese, coffee, milk, cereals etc. The large restaurant and bar and this enormous wooden terrace are sublime and conducive to contemplation. Hammocks, sofa, deck chairs.
Very good cocktails too.
We stayed 4 days in this magical place at the foot of a beautiful beach with lots of advice for discovering the Island: diving, hiking etc. They gave us contacts for taxi boats to take us directly from Angra dos Reis by boat to the quay 2 minutes from the Pousada. They we
We also really appreciated all the other customers from different origins and who were very respectful of the place. Quiet nights, perfect room and good bedding.. And this wonderful view of the sea. I highly recommend it.

Went for almost 5 days from end of November. We were the only guests so we really got 5 star treatment from Patricia and Yoshi (as well as the whole village, I think we were the only outsiders there the whole time).
There are two very nice beaches a very short walk away...not including the main Bananal beach. The main beach has alot of boats but is totally usable. The snorkeling at either "the first OR second beach to the right" was great. Just head for the rocks, lots of fish to see.
Our food was fantastic. True home style cooking. Plenty of food, abundance of food, oversupply of food. Delicious food. Wonderfully prepared and somewhat varied food. 3 FULL meals per day. FULL MEALS. Go hiking or swimming or you will gain weight. Beer is cold, caipirinhas perfect.
The rooms are what would be referred to in the USA as "Jungle Cabin". No A/C. Ceiling fan. No safe (however I can tell you while there, we could have left a mountain of gold and it would not be disturbed - Bananal is a closed community, fear of theft / harm was zero). Hot water upon request. Mosquitos in abundance. Bring DEET based repellant and get a bug plug (they sell them there but probably cheaper at the supermarket in Angra). After DEET repellant, not an issue. The bed was actually amazingly comfortable. It felt like foam, I slept great.
During peak time they have a boat trip every day. We took one to Lagoa Azul and it was awesome. Personal snorkel, hiking, beach excursion aboard the NIKKEI. 5 star tour to the snorkel spot and Church / Beach hike.
You are going to need a little Portuguese to complete this stay. We were met at the airport by a driver recommended by the Pousada. He delivered us to the pier and waited with us. He was so awesome, we used him on the way back. He runs a parking lot for people on the mainland. Highly recommended driver. However airport to port to door....to getting hot water turned on, you may need a little Portuguese.
If you can deal with rustic, love delicious home cooking, want peace and jungle...with lights and hot water....then you cannot go wrong staying here.
Airport to Pousada (2.5 hours in private car) 4 nights, 1/2 day, all we cared to drink, eat boat rides, etc.....
US$570. Seriously, this was a incredible value. That was roughly $140 a day for 2 people essentially all inclusive including daily excursions on a boat if you wish.
The great part about Bananal is that it has electricity and great beaches/snorkel. I would definitely return to this part of the island and this pousada.

I stayed there with my family went to Bananal Beach in Ilha Grande because we knew that the pousadas have all all-inclusive systems and it´s a very small village (they are all relatives, descendants of Okinawans).
This pousada is very simple, but it has a good cost-benefit. It was also the cheapest in Bananal Beach and the view from the rooms is a highlight. I woke up before sunrise to take pictures.
They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee all day. The food was amazingly good, very typical Brazilian dishes with a very good taste of homemade. The ladies also had the care for cooking especial vegetarian dishes for me, even being the only vegetarian costumer. The juices are freshly made, and every afternoon it was very nice to sit down at the bar and watch the sun go down.
I will definitely go back to Bananal and will want to go back to Tres Coqueiros.
