I stayed here for three weeks while working on the Paralympics. The hotel is on a busy but not very touristy street in Lapa, convenient for Santa Teresa and Lapa's bars and restaurants although the immediate surroundings are more local than touristy. That said, it never felt unsafe. It's about 20 minutes' walk to Cinelandia/Carioca/Central metro/train stations, so not especially...

If you are looking for a quiet place then this is not the hotel. It is in the heart of Lapa District...which is noisy and beautiful 24/7. All basic needs like grocery and ATMs are right in the corner. Excellent breakfast although rooms can be a bit cleaner. Good staff and safe environment.

Buses and metro easily accessible. The staff were excellent and most helpful with English speaking member available on all shifts. We were able to exchange monies with ease. Rooms...

We stayed here with a Group of 6,in Two 3 person rooms. Friendly staff, very good breakfast and great location, especially for the carnival. Rooms are a bit noisy, wich can be a problem for some. Heavy traffic just outside. Supermarket with atm across the street was a very Nice surprise :)

I stayed here for one night, initially, I was a bit disappointed, the curb appeal of the hotel really isn't anything to write home about, but once I got to my room, everything fell into place pretty nicely. Really nice balcony, amazing shower, clean and spacious rooms, good a/c, and pretty good free wifi. It's on an interesting street downtown,...

Not a bad hotel in itself. Located near Lapa, but far from the Beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema etc. The staff are friendly, only some of them are English-speaking, the rest does not even understand English, which made Communication much harder.

This Hotel is located on Riachuelo street, a ugly, crowded and stinky street of downtown, but these adjectives are a common sense for Rio de Janeiro downtown. Meanwhile is very quiet after 20:00 and will provide a good night's sleep. The room has a good size and is simple but comfortable. The bathroom has a really good size, hair dryer...
