Quiet surroundings, friendly and helpful staff an above all: the views + large and spacious rooms. Even if the location is appr 2 km from centro Rio, it takes around 10 - 15reais(3 - 5€) with uberx to get here.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Room was very nice with a big terrace with jacuzzi with view on Christo. The breakfast place is great with an amazing view on the city and its bay. Breakfast is good, and I appreciated the fresh fruits. The staff at the reception is really friendly and helpful. The only bad comment...

Location of The Villa in Santa Teresa is wonderful as the historic hilltop neighborhood is lush and charming with it's cobblestone streets and colorful colonial houses. The Villa staff (Sarah and Dennis especially) were extremely helpful with their restaurant recommendations and directions to Rio sights and beaches. The views from the hotel overlooking Rio are exceptional. Breakfast was only average...

This potentially could be amazing but unfortunately it is seriously falling sort.. the reception staff are great .. they offer good recommendations of places to visit and are very friendly although was a little surprised when we checked out got charged more taxes after already paying prior to arrival and the balance on arrival. That aside while they talk about...

The hotel has so much potential - the public areas, the view from the rooms and the bar - but it's either about to go bankrupt or has been bought by new management who are trying their best to turn it around? I can't decide which? I hope the latter and I hope they pull it off as it has...

The views from the room were beautiful but the breakfast was underwhelming and the hotel is pretty far removed in terms of accessing night life and tourist activities. Also, we requested an extra cot but it was missing upon our arrival. The front desk employees were very helpful and spoke great english, but their 'boss' gave me a hard time...

This boutique hotel has breath taking views of the city of Rio de Janeiro. I had gotten the standard room, and when I entered the room, I thought there was a mistake. The room, had a lot of space, high ceilings, modern decor, comfortable bed, and the water pressure in the shower was the best. There is really good free...

Fantastic sunrise over Rio with a vKew of both Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer.. Most of the staff speak very good English and offer ideas for trips out and places to eat. The restaurant serves very good food and we ate there both nights it was open. Would certainly recommend as a contrast of the busy city centre.
