We went there for one night during our transfer to Ilha grande. The price is pretty high considering the room that we got ( small, underground with a window that you can not really open as it is in the corridor). When it is hot, you can get any fresh air in. The shower space is small and you can...

Good hotel, clean, close to a subway station and also to the Lapa neighborhood. The rooms are simple, the bed is just ok. The breakfast doesn't have many options but is enough. The price is the most attractive characteristic.

It was a great location, right downtown, only minutes from Lapa and the Saleron Stairs. Excellent if your trip to Rio revolves around downtown. It's also close to the metro station, so it shouldn't be difficult to get to the beaches (the metro is very efficient and fast). The staff was super friendly and nice, and eager to help us...

I stayed at this hotel in May 2013. The hotel for the price was excellent. Carmeline (The lady at reception desk) and the manager of the hotel (sorry cant remember name) were just fantastic. They both spoke excellent english and more than happy to provide assistance whenever possible. Breakfast was reasonable but do agree should be more variety rather the...

During Fifa's World Cup I stayed there with friends. It was a nice experience due to this hotel is outside the main touristic area (Copacabana and/or Ipanema). Gloria neighborhood is like others in "Zona Sul" so we did not have any trouble to stay there. Also, it's near a "metro" station witch was helpful to go quickly to "Zona Sul"...

Just got back from two week stay til day after world cup so was very busy and heard lots of worring stories about crime etc. The hotel rooms are small, basic but clean and the staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. Good wifi in room which was handy to keep in touch with home. The hotel is situated in a...

Small hotel but is has a great location near subway stations and places of interest. They offer a good breakfast and staff is helpful and speaks English and Spanish. They have Wi-Fi available in all rooms and public areas. The hotel is on the road most people use to get to or from the Christ the Redeemer statue. There are...

This is my 3rd time staying here. This time was during the WC, so Rio hotels were incredibly expensive. This one was one of the few that was somewhat reasonable, but I had several issues during my stay. First, the lock on the door didn't work properly. It would always take about a minute or two of trying the get...

Had a couple of nights here, was a nice hotel. Good location, close to the Metro (Gloria station) and bus routes, and there is a taxi rank just outside the hotel. Also close to a number of shops, bars/cafes and banks with ATMS. The rooms themselves were fine - clean, comfortable with the usual mod cons - wifi, air con,...
