A lovely choice of hotel. I had lost the Card, the room was reserved with and could´nt remember the code for my other Card, but tecnical skilled members of the staff, managed to lead through my payment anyway. Otherwise I had been without af place to stay. I liked my room and the shower. The food was ok as well....

Situated at the most dangerous area in Rio de Janeiro, a lot of homeless at the street, no transportation, no wifi or wasn't working, the rooms are in a super bad condition, bad customer service and they don't refund your money, the bad experience that I ever had, I didn't have so many choices since I purchased my hotel stay...

Hotel is in the district of Lapa, and right adjacent to the famous Lapa steps. However, a "tough" neighbourhood which can be intimidating (albeit relatively safe) at night. Hotel itself is very tired, and don't believe the description of the restaurant (clean, but very limited". Personally would upgrade to another hotel in a better area.

I came to Vina del Mar after spending one horrible night in the hotel next door, Hotel Americano, which was run down and disgusting and had BED BUGS. After staying in Hotel Americano, Vina del Mar felt like the Ritz Carlton, which is strange because the price is comparable and they are apparently under the same management. It's not luxurious,...

Group of 4 stayed here during the World Cup semifinals and Final. The location is at the end of the street in Lapa.. so it's not quite in the middle of all the rowdy sea of restaurants and bars. We slept fine, no discernible noises. There are two convenient metro stations within 10min walk, Gloria and Cinelandia. 80R from the...

We stayed in this hotel during the World Cup and it was crowded. Hotel's location is quite convenient: right between two train stations (a little walking required), close to several attractions(Lapa painted steps, Metropolitan Cathedral, Arcos, Municipal theatre), and commercial streets full of shops and places to eat. However, it is also close to some other shady places ( i...

We had a group of 9 stay here for the weekend. Nobody spoke english so checking in was a bit chaotic finding our reservations and who stayed in what room. Our rooms were tiny but we didn't spend much time there. Nicely tiled bathroom. Great location right near the painted steps of Lapa. For walking around late at night it...

We came for the carnival, and didnt get tickets so we did some street party instead, the place is next to the steps and arches of Lapa. The room was clean. Breakfast was not the best but it was buffet. There was not many people from the staff that spoke english. It was ok. I would come back.

We stayed at this hotel in October 2013. We selected this hotel because of price and other reviews. Here are our problems: Breakfast: not enough room and very crowded space to get to the food. We complained to the waiter/staff for breakfast and he said there wasn't anything he could do about the cold eggs. We went to the front...
