This hotel looks great in pics and the rooms are average, beds where lumpy and it worries me when I see mouldy on my curtains in my room, the rooms are very noisy from the people late at night, but that's what you get when staying beach side, if you plan on washing your clothes think again R25.00 a piece,...

I was extremely happy with my choice of room with a balcony over looking the beach. My only disappointments were the wifi kept dropping out and the staff at breakfast wouldn't let me take a cup of coffee to my room. Staff at the front desk were very helpful.

One of the few properties in Brazil that allow for more than two people in a room. We found a 5-bed room that was perfect for my family. Fantastic location, perfect view of the beach. Parking is not available, but there is a public parking garage within a couple of blocks. Property was clean and staff were great. I would...

I stayed at this hotel during Rio 2016 Paralympics, and it was overall a good experience. The hotel was booked by the company, and not chosen by myself. The location is superb, right on Copacabana, close to many decent restaurants and bars, and only 5 minutes walk from Cardeal Arcoverde metro station. I would ask for a sea-facing room, as...

This hotel has a fantastic location, right across the street from Copacabana, and with sweeping views of the beach. It is also right next to Praça do Lido, which is one of the three locations in Rio where the direct shuttle vans to the Cristo depart from and return to (super, super convenient, especially if you're trying to be amongst...

I spent about 10 nights in this hotel while covering the 2016 Rio Olympics. I should mention, incidentally, that this was an official media hotel as designated by the Rio Olympics organizing committee. The best thing is undoubtedly the view and location. Can literally see for miles on a sunny day, and the subway/metro station is barely a five-minute walk....

This was my last night treat after 3 weeks of hostels. It was fabulous! I had been allocated a room overlooking the beach despite only booking a single not overlooking the beach...what an upgrade! Room was large, if a tad noisy (not big on double glazing) but as the overwhelming noise was the crash of the ocean, who's complaining! Ordered...

Location of the hotel is great, buffet was great also. Only complaints: beds were old ans stiff, staff at the counter not nice (not all of them). For what we payed it was more than we expected, I would totally recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for three nights, a family of four. Nice and friendly staff. Free wifi with low bandwidth. Very good morning buffet with Brazilian style foods. You can borrow towels in the reception to take to the beach or to the upper floor pool area.

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
