It's a very good location. You can reach everything in the center by walking as well as the station of metro and bus. The staff is very nice and helpful. It has the best breakfast I had since travelling two month. You can sit outside and you have a view over the city.

Good to see that even after so many years the place is not run down. Breakfast was delicious with various fruits and staff nice as always. Really worth taking the tram downtown. Congrats to management.

Friendly staff, great place with a beautiful view of Rio's downtown. Pretty close to Lapa. I was in the single room on first floor, and they habitation was clean and very comfortable. I would certainly book that hostel again.

Bossa has a unique charm about it. The rooms are clean as well as the lounge area. Staff were extremely helpful and prompt. Special thanks to Triecy who was extremely helpful and made the stay pleasant. She even went out her way to show us around the area on her day off.

Hey, this hostel was perfect for me. The atmosphere was so friendly and relaxed it felt like my house. Everything was perfect, I stayed in the 10 bed dorm and I had enough space and an on suite bathroom. The shared kitchen was always clean and big enough for more than one person to cook in. The staff are really...

We stayed here in a private room, which was really comfortable and clean with a lovely balcony overlooking the city. It was a bit of a struggle up the steps with our luggage, which might not be suitable for older guests but for us it was worth the walk. Very accessible to the city and within walking distance of the...

My boyfriend and I stayed in Bossa back in January and had a wonderful experience. We arrived in Rio after a long flight and had no idea where we were, but as soon as we stepped into Bossa we were made to feel at home. The staff were so friendly and helpful, giving us advice on where to go, helping...

This is definitely a great destination and a most suitable place to meet new people on adventures with many stories to tell of their own. The Hostel is a bit more inland on a slight uphill which gives a great view of the city at night. Great staff! Good food and great accommodation. Lots to do and very helpful staff.

This hostel, located in Santa Teresa, very close to the party-area Lapa, up on the hill is a nice and clean place to stay for a few days. There is a pool, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, organizing trips and things to do such as visits to a favela & co. The rooms are nothing luxurios, but...

Bossa in Rio is a very nice hostel. Although its a hostel it has some private rooms. We opted for one of the basic private room. The cost is affordable for being in Rio and as per the quality. On our return trip they offered us a free upgrade to a better room. The location is pretty good, 2 mins...

Staying in Santa Teresa

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa is a bohemian enclave hosting many local artists’ studios. The narrow, winding streets of this neighbourhood were revitalised years ago, and visitors can now stroll through this area to view magnificent mansions dating back to the late 19th and early 20th century. A highlight not miss: Museu Chacará do Céu, a former mansion turned museum which houses works by prominent Brazilian modern artists.
