There are many extremely overpriced hotels in Rio with poor value, especially the closer they get to one of the beaches... but this one seems to be an exception - if you get your room rate right, it is actually an excellent value... it is...More
The Atlantico Copacabana advertises itself as a four star hotel, but it's a three star property by North American standards at best. I stayed in room 1202 near the top of the Atlantico for nearly three weeks during the Rio 2016 Olympics. Large room and...More
I really like this hotel. I've been to Rio two times and stayed here on both trips. The location could not be better. It is located in Apoador which is exactly in the middle of both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches (take your pick. You go...More

First of all, I vote for the perfect location of this hotel - near Copacabana, next to the metro station, a lot of shops, fast foods and cafeterias around. Personell was friendly and helpful, special thanks to Polyanna!! Room and facilities were ok.
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful
draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
