Myself and my friend stayed three nights at Solar Hostel and really enjoyed our stay! The location is fantastic, the breakfast is decent and the staff are great! One member of staff, Fede, particularly stood out for us. He was incredibly friendly and warm and...More
I stayed in this hostel because a friend of mine lived close, if he didn't I would have left after the first day. There is no hostel atmosphere, my dorm was very smelly and the last night they wouldn't let my boyfriend in at 3...More

We moved to Solar Hostel on Copacabana after a terrible stay at the nearby Pura Vida hostel. The change couldn't have been starker - we found a caring and concerned team that went out of their way to assist us in every way possible around...More
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful
draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
