Want to drink so much you can´t find your feet? Want to forget all of life´s troubles? This place is the spot! Nonstop music and fun will make you explodeeee! Plus tasty dinners are great in bringing people together and making fast and easy friends! Fun volunteers like Franklin make the hostel worth staying ;)

We stayed one night and it was fine. We only needed a bed for the night and then a place to keep our stuff for the day. We liked the location so we booked another night after going to some other cities. There was drama about us supposedly taking a girls bed, but we were told which beds to take....

Amazing place! Fantastic location, incredibly friendly staff, and the free dinner is just incredible. We were expecting some food, but every night we were amazed at the quality and taste. Location is right in Lapa and perfect for evening street parties. Very friendly people. Had the best time ever! Only thing is not a lot of water pressure in the...

After 13 months of travelling this was the last hostel I stayed in before going home and I couldn't have ended it in a better place. The staff are just awesome. It's not really a party hostel, but it still invites you to party. And the free dinner every night is one of the coolest things I've ever experienced in...

We stayed in Rio for 4 Nights at the Bananaz Hostel and were really happy about our choice. Although the rooms are quite simple the banana family made us feel at home from the first moment. Sharing dinner every evening and the great Caipirinhas at the bar made the time in rio unforgettable. Chreers mates!

I liked the hostel in one way. But it can be quite noise at night. The staff is super friendly. They offer dinner instead of breakfast. I think it'd be better if they bring back their free breakfast. Dinner can be quite poor, not enough. I was on a triple bunk bed. I did not feel safe about it at...

Super friendly and helpful staff, felt more like I was staying with a few friends. Free dinner in the evenings and overall very easy to meet people to hang out with which is what I look for in a hostel. Located only a few minutes walk from the metro too so well placed to get around the city. Also is...

Very good, Stayed for five nights here. Excellent value if you are going for a budget hotel. Definitely not luxury and cold showers. BUT the atmosphere is amazing and there is wifi throughout. The great thing about this hostel is that included in your price is dinner which means everyone comes together. This hostel was also very good for people...

Ridiculously friendly staff with great knowledge of the area who went out of their to help us with all our needs. Free dinners each night with friendly bunch of people sitting along a table and breakfast is ridiculously cheap. Free salsa lesson one night too. Warm showers and better atmosphere in the evenings than when we went to other hostels...

Staying in Santa Teresa

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa is a bohemian enclave hosting many local artists’ studios. The narrow, winding streets of this neighbourhood were revitalised years ago, and visitors can now stroll through this area to view magnificent mansions dating back to the late 19th and early 20th century. A highlight not miss: Museu Chacará do Céu, a former mansion turned museum which houses works by prominent Brazilian modern artists.
