My husband and I stayed at Rio Panoramic this December as part of our honeymoon. The hotel is set in the bohemian neighbourhood of Santa Teresa and it is a beautiful Art Déco building, with Déco interiors to match. Aside from the beautiful surroundings what really makes the experience is how welcoming the host Cristina and all the staff are....

Fabulous time at Rio Panoramic during our first time trip to Rio. - The rooms are large and stylish, fully furnished. - The view from the hill of Santa Teresa is exeptional and offers a great spot of the city which complements perfectly the ones of Christ the Redeemer and the Sugar Loaf. - The swiming pool is perfect with...

Short stay in this beautiful hotel. A little hard to find but once you get there you are amazed with a view you won't find anywhere else. Great people and neat rooms. Definitely a recommended place for me!

We loved our stay at the Rio Panoramic and highly recommend it when staying in Rio de Janeiro. The view is spectacular and the accommodations very nice! The breakfast is sumptuous and can fuel your body for the whole day of sightseeing. Equally important, the people who manage the Rio Panoramic are wonderful! Christina, the manager, is a terrific hostess!...

We have stayed in many good hotels in our lives but this one was exceptional. The hotel is so hard to find - no signs - and the taxi driver was very uncertain where it was located. - But we found it using the address and the search was well worthwhile. We were greeted by Monica who showed us round...

The Rio Panoramic is the perfect place to have a breathtaking view of Rio, to sleep in a mid-century house with beautiful furnitures and to enjoy a swimming-pool. We only stay one night but next time we will certainly stay more. We feel in love with the place, the view and the people. Thank you again Rio Panoramic !

Breakfast was very good. Fresh fruits, fresh juice, egg, bread,... and an incredible view. The staff is very friendly and helps you with everything and gives you tipps where to go in the city and so on. My fiancé and I stayed at the Rio Panoramic during the Olympics. As soon as we arrived we knew we had made a great choice in where to stay. The guest house has incredible views over the city and bay, as a well as the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain. We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. We were told...

Great location in the bohemian area of Santa Theresa. Easy access to all areas of Rio with a short taxi or metro ride. Lovely welcoming homely feel. The views from the house and terrace are incredible and there are some lively late night local bars just a stone throw away. Only thing knocking the 5th Star off was the price...

Staying in Santa Teresa

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa is a bohemian enclave hosting many local artists’ studios. The narrow, winding streets of this neighbourhood were revitalised years ago, and visitors can now stroll through this area to view magnificent mansions dating back to the late 19th and early 20th century. A highlight not miss: Museu Chacará do Céu, a former mansion turned museum which houses works by prominent Brazilian modern artists.
