Hotel Canada is the 2nd block, it takes about 7 minutes walking to the famous beach Copacabana. It's situated in the area with many shops and cafeterias. But nobody speaks English in cafeterias, there isn't an English version of menu cards! There are some gift and food stores there. If you don't want to pay for food in restaurants you...

Very good location , the beach is 5 min. walk , shops all around, breakfast is OK, and wifi was good too. Very close to an Aipo Aipim por kilo restaurant where you can eat the best for cheap. I believe 100 euros/night is expensive for this hotel, the location to be paid??

I think it is a very great hotel, the staff is amazing, very helpful and polite. The room was really big, clean and the bathroom as well. The breakfast is wonderful!!! The location is the best, only 2 squares of the beach, and at the same street you can find anything you want. Gym, drugstore, supermarket, restaurant etc...

I stayed at this hotel with a group of friends during the World Cup. The price was amazing given the location of the hotel (two blocks from Copacabana beach) and the facilities, very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was outstanding, there were lots of options for everyone so we didn't get bored of the bf after a week of stay....

If The review was only about the quality of the rooms, staff, and breakfast, I would have gave the hotel 5 badges. The rooms are wide, well equipped with closets, TV, air condition, nice comfortable beds, and a wide bathroom/shower. The location is also perfect, being 1 block away from the Copacabana beach, and 2 blocks from Sequera Campos metro...

Booked hotel during world cup 14. Impressed for price and location. This was one of the most well priced hotel. Did not have high expectation reading earlier reviews. Were impressed. Service is well managed. Of course you have problem with English all over Rio so was not specific. The hotel provided free lock to safe so did not take any...

Stayed here for just 1 night after Germany vs France WC game. Pleasantly surprised, hotel is in great location just 2 blocks from Copacabana beach, the breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and room was clean & comfy. They stored our bags during the day and were happy to check in at an rather late odd hour after the game! We...

Good location, very close to the beach. The room with bathroom for 3 was clean enough. Unfortunately noisy (street downstairs is very busy). Breakfast included and not bad (specially the fruit). The lobby looks good but once you go upstairs it doesn't look that good (old and dirty). It is expensive but apparently all Rio is the same. For a...

Location is so-so. About 5 minutes from the Copacabana. That`s only my recommending point. One of two Elevators is out of order and, furthermore when I check out, other elevator becomes also broken. It means I'm forced to climb up to 10th floor on foot, and down to the ground floor. They need renovation ASAP before the World Cup in...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
