I should stay here for 3 nights but I made check out after the first night. The hotel definitively not worst the money.
Pro: Quiet room. Hard bedding (80's style :) I love it)

The are is like most say nice but if you walk outside the hotel and make a left you will find yourself in a bit of a crappy place. No place to show of you fat wallet.
But if you walk out the other way...More

Great location if you like the Bohemian part of Rio.
Unfortunately the sheets slip around on the plastic mattress; the room was a good size with fridge and TV.
Shower had mould in the tiles which was not acceptable.
Staff friendly and spoke some English.
