The stuff was extremely helpful and nice: After I took a taxi from the hotel to the airport, I realised I left my camera on the taxi's backseat, I checked in to my flight already, so I called the hotel's reception and they managed to find the taxidriver and sent him back to the terminal. He gave me my camera, he charged only half the fare – simply PERFECT, thanks also to the hotel's stuff here.
The first thing we saw when we entered the room was a half eaten cookie in the floor. Dirty. Everything is really old.... But dirty old, not nice vintage old.
Bathroom full of hair from
Someone else. The shower was actually still wet from another guest.
At night the noise from the street is really unbelievable. The windows don't close completely, so you feel you are actually sleeping in the street. We were in the 4th floor and every time a car or truck or bus passed we felt like if it was passing over our beds. (We had two rooms and the experience was the same)
The neighborhood is really not safe. You can't go out the street, specially after 6pm. Many homeless people outside. We felt really unsecure.
Well, this time I should have considered what I read.
The hotel's location is NOT safe, the room was OK but bathroom really bad! The inside of the hotel is sooo totally outdated and that of the room worse. We were welcomed by a "school" of flies in the lobby of the hotel.
The staff was absolutely not helpful and please, if you do not speak portuguese, then you might want to go someplace else.
I simply do not recommend it at all, not even for a night.
Rooms are noisy, bathroom looks as a camping toilette and the rain is so strong that when hits the air conditioning the room sounds like in a tube station tunnel.
It's 10 o'clock am and still cannot find any place open where to change my money and purchase a new phone card...
