I stayed in this hotel with a friend for the carnaval weekend. When we arrived early in the morning due to my flight our room wasn't available but Emerson the receptionist made sure we didn't have to wait for too long. Actually he was very helpful. The room was comfortable and the break fast had a good selection. The location...

First the hotel is dirty and old. We found that the blanket was dirty, the lamp, windows everything was dirty and really old. There was a noise coming from both air conditioner and mini bar fridge. Noise coming also from the street all night, the windows does not close in a proper way and even if you manage to close...

I don't know if the hotel is 3 or 4 star... But i can assure you that is pretty excellent. The people working there is so friendly, they offered an amazing service. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. What a really loved was the breakfast! A complete buffet... Too many things you don't know what to eat first!!! And...

I always stay at this hotel, generally more than a couple of days and always the service was excellent, very friendly in the front desk. The breakfast is very good, with tropical fruits, a wide variety of breads and cakes. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The pillows aren't good :(

This was a decent hotel offering excellent value for money even during World Cup. The hotel has 14 floors but surprisingly no bar and restaurant on the ground floor rarely open. That said the hotel is just across road from a whole area of bars and restaurants. Even on top floors the room was noisy at night from street traffic...

I'very got the top floor room with city view. Room is clean and spacious. This hotel is located in the centre of the city, Near the republica metro about 200m away. I went during World cup and attended the fan fest in anguhau valley, which is walkable from the hotel 600m. Reception staffs able to speak some English or even...

The vicinity of the hotel provides a lot of activities and dining for little walking, the room rates are reasonable, but the walls seem paper thin. Be prepared to hear every cough, phone ring, chair drag, and toilet flush from your neighbors.

This was clearly a stunning hotel years ago. It seems very basic and simple now . The room was clean and quite large. The shower was huge with brilliant hot water . Breakfast was very basic but a little more than other hotels . The reception staff did not speak English - in fact, Wellington the porter spoke more English....

Overpriced for it's no frills environment but acceptable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, except for 1 individual that works the evening shift. This hotel is surrounded by a very vibrant local community so there are many shops and restaurants in the immediate area. Neighborhood isn't as high end at is was years ago but no bothersome riff-raff milling...

Staying in Republica

Neighbourhood Profile
Republica
Part of the historical centre of São Paulo, República was once a fancy residential area. República Square holds a craft and food fair every weekend, right by the subway entrance. Nearby, one of the neighbourhood’s main attractions is the Italian Building, where you can see the city from the 42nd floor. The Copan Building also deserves a close look, with 1,160 apartments and a huge floor area that inspired filmmakers and other artists. To get the feeling of São Paulo in the beginning of the 1900s, visit the Municipal Theatre – you will be amazed by its architecture. The area also features several galleries. República is a great area to explore during daytime, but use caution if visiting alone at night.
