The hotel staff is really helpful and nice, the hotel has somethings that need to be updated but overall rooms are comfortable, breakfast was included with the hotel saty and it had a litle bit of everything try to be before 9:00 am because it can be very crowded. The hotel is near the red metro station so it is easy to move around. I was on the days of carnival and the street is blocked so people can dance, it is a whole new experience the music and the festive air, but if you want to go anywhere you will have to walk in the middle of intoxicated people. The hotel staff once again made everything in their hands to make the entrance to the hotel safe.

The main reason why I'm giving 3 stars is because of the hotels location, I felt really insecure on the hotel street and the streets neraby are worse so going out for a late afternoon snack felt like world war Z, be very carefull anywhere near the hotel there are lots of intoxicated people sleeping on the street, I saw two big figths and one included robbery. I know Sao Paulo is dangerous but this was a whole new level and I'm south american.

Staff was nice and helpful. If the front desk ENG speakers are out, they'll do google translate. They were very responsive to emails during the months leading up to my stay. Air conditioners are very sensitive, so only run it on max volume and cool for a few hours to make the room cool then cut back to the low cool setting and not quite coldest on the temp control knob or unit will freeze up and not work at all. Their wifi barely works (think 5 seconds at a time between freezes if trying to watch a movie or video and significant wait times to websurf), so don't count on that at all. Some rooms (I stayed in 2) have very difficult to open doors; if this happens after you get the green light from dipping your key card, pull a quick up on the handle then down to open. If you need to add a day to your stay, do it ahead on the site you got good pricing on if you know in advance. I added mine at the desk and paid almost double than the website though which I booked it. Great location...so close to metro, shopping, pharmacies, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. I heard to be careful walking alone at night and to keep your wallet & phone in front pockets.

Another administration, old procedures, it's not good. The hotel need repairs in many areas. The Monreale new administrator just used make-up. The employees in the coffee room are terrible, incompetents.

My partner booked this place, she’s usually very good at hotels, but this time she got this one wrong.
Firstly, beggars hanging outside and questionable ladies in the hotel lobby was not a good start. It felt like we had gone back in time to the 70s, nothing felt upgraded or new, but old saggy furniture in the lobby, the same goes for the hotel room. ‘At least there’s a good size bed’ she said.
The breakfast was appalling. I was so turned off by the hot options, I had a plate of fruit.
Thank God I was here for only one night. They get a star for location.

We only stayed in this hotel for a night. The hotel itself is quite decent although the neighborhood didn't look so nice and safe. There is a nearby Starbucks a few blocks away although on the walk there...there were a lot of homeless in the street.

Check in was quite fast and the concierge was very helpful. They also asked us to be careful of our belongings when we were outside the hotel. The room was quite spacious for three single beds and very clean. There were multiple sockets beside the bed to plug in your phone. There was a mini fridge and a hair dryer available. Shower was hot.

Breakfast was okay - fruits, yogurt, egg, fresh juice and bread.

I would recommend the hotel if you want to stay in the area since it was decent, clean and had a friendly staff. It's quite near the center but a good 20-30 minutes via Uber to the upscale areas of Vila Olimpia, Jardins and Ibirapuera. It was pretty okay for the price especially if you're a big group.

It is not the hotel which is terrible but the area. On the first night a armed police officer got mugged right outside the hotel. It was a pain that the lifts kept breaking down. At least i got fit using the stairs. The area is full at night of drug addicts and the hotel has two sex cinemas on each side of it. To get to the hotel to have to go pass people trying to sell you hard core gay sex magazines. The park opposite has a more than 20 people sleeping rough with people sleeping also sleeping on the sidewalk. The bank stand sleeps about 5-8 people. The smell of raw sewage coming from the homeless people nearly knocks you out. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful but did not speak much English. You do feel safe one in in he hotel as they have lots of staff on the entrance to look after you. My room was fine a but tired but it was large and clean and a comfortable bed. The air con had only one setting on or off. My colleague had a standard room which was not nice. It was small and you could not open the window as it had a metal shutter on not sure why?The staff warned us how dangerous the area could be and not to wear rings, expensive items, carry lap tops etc It is 100% DANGEROUS to go out side late at night. During the day the area is very busy so it is safe to go out but there is still lots of street crime. There are groups of police officers in groups of 4 every where during the day but at night you are on your own. The food was excellent at breakfast. On Sunday there was a street market opposite in the square which was great with some fantastic local art and pictures on display and food stands with great tasting freshly made food. The lifts kept breaking down and being in a lift full of people with the lights going out was not fun. We were booked for whole week but could only stick it for three days and moved hotel to a nicer area even though we had prepaid for the room. If you want to stay here just be very careful.
