We stayed in a triple room so our room was larger than most. We stayed here for the World Cup and they were still under going renovations. The current entrance is through the garage and up a flight of stairs. If the finished lobby is any indication of what the rest of the hotel will look like once it is...

Decent location but the lift situation is beyond belief- it took us 25 minutes to get to breakfast one morning. The rooms are the tiniest I've ever stayed in but they are clean. We were travelling at the World Cup time so no doubt our price was over inflated. Maybe when it's quieter you can actually find food at breakfast...

the location is fantastic but the hotel itself is very 'tired'. Renovations are still in process and when it's finished the place will be good as the lobby itself is by flash. However it's still trying to operate as a functioning hotel during this refit and it's not working. Our room was tiny, the power went out twice for 5...

I thought i would give this hotel the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake, i should have heeded the warning of my fellow trip advisors. The entrance to the hotel is through an underground car park off a main highway. The reception area is under construction, the elevators are like something form a horror movie, the rooms are tiny and...

Ok I knew the area as I lived for 5 years and I knew the hotel was under refurbishment. The works weren't a problem as the room is very well soundproofed. Unfortunately it is soundproofed from the street (which is Sao Paulo is a thing not to ignore) but not from the corridor. Between people talking/shouting like if they were...

I was at this hotel on a short business trip to Sao Paulo. The hotel is now the WZ Jardins (old name the Lorena). It is under massive construction on the outside. The check in area is in the garage where they have temporary tables set up. Not what any American hotel would do, but its not the US. I...

I have been to this hotel twice in the past 3 years. The rooms have changed since I last visited with some upgrades to flooring, paint, and a flat screen tv in every room. Don't let that get your hopes up if the TV is what you look for in a hotel - the screen size was about 15 inches....

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and never recommend this place. Need drastic renovations. Staff nice but do not understand English. Breakfast poor, rooms large but bathrooms need renovations. Looks like hotel from the period of 60. At that time might be good.

First the good news. I have stayed at Lorena many times (10 or more) since the late 1980s. Some comments of other reviewers about a shabby lobby were once certainly true, but no more. The hotel entrance and large comfortable lobby area, with very pleasant bar (and bartender, Franca) are glitzy, clean, modern and inviting - see accompanying pictures. The...

Neighbourhood Profile
Jardins
Located just below important Paulista Avenue, Jardins is the junction of four smaller neighbourhoods: Jardim Paulista, Jardim América, Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano. It is an upper-class area, offering a variety of things to do, including shopping, museums and parks. The neighbourhood is well known for “Oscar Freire”– the most luxurious street in the city, packed with high-end boutiques. In Jardins you will also find a trendy museum, São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), which people often line up for hours to visit. If green space is what you're after, take time to relax at Trianon Park, a refuge in the heart of Paulista Avenue.
