Located 10 minutes from Republica metro station, this hotel offers affordable, but basic accommodations. The staff are friendly and willing to help. The breakfast (sweet breads, toast, juice, coffee and fruit) is simple, but filling.

Pros: Clean, comfortable, affordable, central location
Cons: Small (think of a university dormitory) rooms

I use to go practically every week from aprox 2-3 days per week since January 2012, to your F1 hotels in São Paulo: mainly São João, Jardins 9 de Julho, ou Consolação, I understand its smart hotel concept but I think it should be nice if you reward somehow my royalty.

And the worst thing I had is once I made a mistake on F1 9 de Julho when internet reservation fullfilment (I reserved a Sunday night instead of a Monday night) when I arrived to the hotel they charged the Sunday night aswell, it is legal but due to my loyalty I expected a flexibility about not charging what a I didn´t use.

I've stayed at this hotel many times before, and will probably stay many more in the future. It's very conveniently located, even if its inner-city neighbourhood is not without problems. In all fairness, I've noticed a great deal of improvement in the area, as city authorities are trying to "clean it up". Other than that, it's reasonably priced, with clean rooms and friendly, attentive staff. Great value for money.

Most Sao Paulo hotels get funny about you bringing a guest back to your room. If you turn up with someone at night, they will often demand R$50 to R$70, even if your hotel room is booked for two guests (I'm looking at you, Bourbon on Carvalho and Golden Tulip Belas Artes). But this hotel doesn't bat an eyelid. They never check ID, they don't care who you bring home - and locally, it's famous for it. So from that perspective it's the best hotel in the area. And the overhead bunk bed is... ahem... interesting...

Close to the gay area around Vieira Carvalho, and mostly safe to walk to - there's a 24 hour police booth opposite Cantho, so walk to and from it that way. Like anything in Sao Paulo, don't be an idiot and you're perfectly safe.

Rest is as others describe. It's basic but clean, though they don't seem to bother cleaning the floor if you stay for several days. Rate is a relative bargain - I've stayed at a dozen Sao Paulo hotels, but this is now my default hotel of choice.

There isn't too much one can write about a property like this - the rooms are small, but functional and can house 3. The location is fantastic for the Centro area, and is a short walk from multiple transit routes. There are supermarkets near by for food, plenty of places to drink and eat - all in all, as locations go, it works very well.

Breakfast is basic, but cheap and internet access, while not free, is also reasonably priced. All in all, I'd recommend this hotel as a budget choice in Sao Paulo.

If you're looking for a clean and descent place to stay without all the bells and whistles and on a budget, this is the best option in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. There are four Formule 1 Hotels in SP and one in Rio, and they are all exactly the same to each other. We've stayed in the Centro and Jardins in SP and the one in Rio. All rooms can accommodate up to 3 people for the same price utilizing bunk beds. A queen bed on bottom and a twin on top.

The room is small but has the basics. There is no mini-fridge or telephone though. And the only weird thing to be aware about is that the shower is basically in the same room as the bedroom. The only thing separating your naked body from other people in your room is a frosted glass door. (See pics). But that can be mostly resolved by hanging your towel over the door to cover it.

Both breakfast and parking cost extra. The breakfast is a good, normal continental breakfast. It only costs R$ 5 (~U$ 2.50). And we were able to do without parking since the hotels are generally in good locations near Metro stops, business centers, and tourist places.

Unlike the previous reviewer, I had no problem making my reservation though their web site for any of the three times I've booked a room.

My Uber pools up to the large building 20 The door automatically slides open.
There are construction like plastic post and plastic chains dividing the checking lineup.
I get to the counter a Nice guy greets me. I feel comfortable he takes my document and make a copy ( Standard so far ) He hands me the magnetic key and a pan flit with my Pass Wifi instructions and room number. 2106-1. I asked what is the -1? about ? - He then tells me it is a shared room (4) to a room. I was TAKEN is mentioned he tells me that some where on the booking was a clear explanation about the room and the rates, granted I booked it on a rush and perhaps there is.
Iwent to the room a very small room even for a single person yet they manage to make it organized and well define who sleeps where and whet=re to put your stuff.
There are Cubbie spaces for storage BUT you have go to have your own LOCKS.
.you will need at least one for under the bed where you can actually fit a full checked bag 25 Kilo bag.

IF YOU ARE SAVE AND TRAVEL ON A BUDGET IT IS A GOOD OPTION. I saw must younger travelers using the 20th floor and as for my experience my room mates were so polite I saw one of the 3. Clearly I was crashing for the night to continue my travel early in the AM.

They have food available on the ground floor.

The hotel itself (room etc) was as expected: no frills for a good price. I have zero complaints. The check in attendant was not friendly, but everything was efficient and the room cleaner and more comfortable than expected.

However, I had a very negative experience with the lack of security at the door. Two taxi drivers were parked in the hotel loading area. I ordered an Uber to go to the airport. The taxi drivers starting yelling obscenities at the Uber driver, and threatened him with violence. The Uber driver escaped. Then, furious, we decided to walk away from the hotel to get another Uber or another taxi. The taxi drivers followed us for nearly twenty minutes, in their car with plates FTH-3140 around the deserted Sunday morning streets. We felt very threatened.

Ibis Budget should stop taxi drivers from parking on the driveway - they can wait by the side of the road like in other hotels. They should definitely not let the taxi with plates FTH-3140 wait outside, and given the neighbourhood where the hotel is, should have a security guard by the door who can take care of guests.

typical Ibis Budget, very basic, but ideal for such a short Trip. Easy CheckIn and the Staff there did speak english. Room was very basic, but in the usual Standard this Hotels have mostly and we could sleep well there. There was a small choice of Breakfast, but we did not make use of it, due it had to be paid extra. We can recommend this, for short Stay. For longer Stay, maybe it will be too basic and boring.

I was there after taking a long trip to Rapa Nui (Easter Island) for a few days before heading to my home city. The building is huge and accomodations are fine with enough space for 2 people and luggage, no frills, it must be said but this is something you should know already. Location is perfect, lots of taxis and bus lines, metro line is not so close but you can walk through the park and get to it. It is also near by the bus line that connects international airport to the area. You can walk to 25 de março avenue. There are many spots to be seen in the area, buildings and all. I felt pretty safe, there are some bars and restaurants, of course it is a super big city so the same caution should be taken when walking by. There are two police stations around it. The area is gay friendly and many bars, restaurants and people walking freely. There are several hotels around it and cinema complex also. The metro takes you basically every where. I always use it when I am there, taxis are not expensive as well. Internet is charged R$ 3,00 a day (around $1,30 dollars) it is fast a reliable. A/C heater and nice hot water. They have a shop downstairs where they sell water, sodas, frozen food and snacks which is handy and inexpensive. They have a breakfast room where you can buy it for R$11 ($6.50) which is fine and somewhat diverse, if you feel like trying it go ahead and if you do not like it just do not go back and try something else in the area. Rooms has double glass windows so it is quiet and comfortable.
