Wonderful place, perfect for you to reconnect with nature, very good food, beautiful decor, lots of birds and lots of greenery. It was a very different stay from what I was used to, the staff were very attentive and experienced. My husband missed having a TV in the bungalow, even though the idea was to connect with nature.

Created within its forest surroundings we had a great stay. So relaxing it really gets you away from it all. The staff are friendly and helpful and Danilo was an amazing host. I can’t speak to highly of him or the place. I’d recommend this place.

Absolutely one of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed. A combination of exciting jungle (lots of birds) and great relaxation. The food was really tastfull and healthy too! Friendly and helpful staff and clean appartments. Near various beaches (having a rental car is advisable), definitely worth the stay!

The lodge (now called Banana Bamboo Ecolodge) is located in a 25ha area of pure Atlantic forest, largely surrounded by a river with crystal clear waters and lots and lots of greenery. Upon arrival, the guest is taken along a suspended walkway in the middle of the forest, to one of the 10 apartments. The gardens are beautiful and there are many birds, especially the beautiful bird. The apartment maintains “dryness” even though it is in a very humid area and is of good size (except, perhaps, for the somewhat small bathroom). There is a good quality wi-fi minibar. The meals are incredible, incorporating the essence of preservation and an invitation to a more natural life. There are no sodas or red meat, but in compensation there is kombuchas and a delicious vegan burger. We used the jacuzzi and dry sauna, which are located right next to the river and are prepared by appointment. The highlight, certainly, was a “tour” led by manager Danilo around the property, in which he taught us concepts of permaculture and agroforestry, showing, in practice, how sustainability is possible. We were able to eat cocoa and cupuaçu straight from the tree, without poverty, and we even visited an artisanal “bean to bar” chocolate factory that operates there. It was sensational! Without Danilo, the property would certainly lose a lot, as he is extremely well versed in hospitality, speaking foreign languages and having a unique education. It is worth it!
