There is an old mill incorporated into the structure of the hotel. Good for them that they used it rather than tore it down. The hotel is a little worn. The room was large but with huge overstuffed furnitures. The bedside reading lights were only ok. There were no enough electrical outlets for two people to power the gadgets. But it was clean and the bathroom was large and functional. While I was not crazy about the breakfast I liked the bar area where you could buy a good cup of coffee and enjoy it in comfortable chairs or sofas. The location is perfect only some 10 minutes walk to old Nesbar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Stayed here for five nights at the end of September/beginning of November. We booked the Mill based on price and the short distance to Nessebar's old town.
Good points: great location, free parking, large rooms with balconies, refurbished bathrooms (to a good standard), helpful staff.
Bad points: tatty towels, tatty bedsheets, stained duvet, lack of staff presence at breakfast and bad coffee, other guests smoking in the bar/lounge area.
Such a shame really. I can imagining this hotel was amazing when it first opened but it's clearly seen better days. I appreciate refurbishing a whole hotel requires a large investment but I don't think replacing the towels and bedding is too much to ask.
Stayed here in September 2018. Room was very comfortable with nice double bed and clean shower room. Towels were changed daily and bedding twice a week. We paid for a sea view room which looked towards Sunny Beach and hotel car park rather than Nessebar as we hoped for. Our board was B&B as we wanted to eat out during the day and evening. The food in the hotel is at best adequate! There was a repetition of cakes and pastries (for breakfast?) and also a small selection of ‘fresh’ fruit e.g. plum, tinned fruit e.g. peaches, cold boiled eggs, scrambled omelette and fried eggs, some bland cheeses, smoked ham, salami sausage. Bread was sliced white or brown and needed toasting but unfortunately the toaster needed replacing! There was also some very poor quality cereal. There is a machine serving coffee and hot water and another serving water and synthetic orange and cherry drinks. We ended up buying breakfast outside the hotel. The hotel is well placed for Nessebar old town but very little else to do in the area. We visited Pomorie ( not worth the effort) and Sveti Vlas (abysmal). Didn’t do any of the more popular excursions e.g. Khan’s tent, as heard poor reviews. Would only recommend for a short stay to visit Nessebar old town. Will not return.
The hotel is in an excellent position for views over the old town of Nessebar. Hotel is very well equipped and very clean and good sized rooms, breakfast was excellent with a great selection of meats cheese cereal fruit too much to mention separately. We stayed on a bed and breakfast option as we like to explore the different restaurants and there are many to chose from.
We had a good experience at The Mill. We were with a wedding party and the hotel staff didn't seem to like us and our party, but we had a fun trip nonetheless. The location is amazing; it's a 10 minute walk across to the peninsula of Old Town Nesebar. The rooms were nice; two twin beds and a chair, which was perfect.
