If you're a budget traveller, then look no further. This is the cheapest place in town and the sweetest lady owner ever. I got a private room with a good breakfast included for $10US! She also cooked me a delicious dinner one night for free! Stay here and save your money.

It was nice, we just crashed there. The owner was very helpful with bus tickets to Yangon and a boat trip to Inle lake while we were there. We arrived at 3 in the morning and she still chatted and helped with our stuff.

$10 USD for the most basic backpacker's set-up you can imagine. Thought about putting my sleeping bag over the mattress. Private bathroom a step above camping (don't expect it to be clean). Owner is very moody, can be sugary sweet or all scowls. Mostly the latter. I got a giant heap of the latter as well as mean spirited yelling...

The good: it's 10 000 kyat for a single with private bathroom. Bicycle rental 1000 kyat. The bad: rundown rooms with no maintenance since WW2. Lighting so bad you'll find it hard to find the private bathroom. The ugly: the hot water and wifi that I asked about before checking in turned out to be the owner's imaginary friends -...

This was a basic accommodation that cost us 25$ a night for 3 nights. The communication with the owners did always go smoothly, one example: we were promised to get our bus tickets for 3 times and finally received them only 5 min before our checkout. Until that time they could not confirm that our tickets would be there although...

Was recommended by someone I met in Kalaw to book this place. I paid only $10 for a night for a double room with en suite showers tho I was alone. It was at the corner of the town but along the boat station area. Room wise, it was quite okay. Nothing to rave about but at least it was...

We came to this hotel early in the morning from the bus after hearing that it was homey and inexpensive. The rooms were 25 dollars which we were told by our taxi driver was the cheapest price in town. We got to the hotel and put our things in the room, and went out to get breakfast. We tried to...

I was on a mission to stay at a cheap place in NyaungShwe (not an easy mission in NyaungShwe). I looked up 10 places that were supposed to be cheap on wiki triip, and cycled past all of them to check their prices. This place (and this place only) was - by far - the cheapest. This also means that...

We had a terrible stay. Our bed was filled with dead and alive ants. When we told the owner she was rude and didnt want to take the time to help us or gir us a discount. She told us many times she had no time to help us. This was by far our worst stay in myanmar. They even...

“In Myanmar, during peak-season, it's completely useless to try to call and book an hotel room. They will always say they're fully booked. And it's true, but since the reservation are not secured by credit card and the travel plans of their guests change on a daily basis,it's best just to show up at the reception around breakfast time and ask for a room.”
