The food we ordered only tasted like "maggi" (the flavour enhancer). Not very Cambodian :-) Twice, I caught the staff being sneaky about money, once asking for a price, once for giving change back! The road is very loudly because too close to the busy market. Overall design is very nice though. I would stay somewhere else when I return... More

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with Seng Hout. When I arrived to my room and moved the towels displayed on my bed, there was a large, gross stain on the blanket. I went downstairs and asked to change rooms. The woman had to call her boss and ultimately told me it would cost an extra $5/night to... More

Stayed in the cheapest room in the original hotel for about 15 bucks or so. Room doesn't look like anything special but it does the job fairly well. Amenities including a rooftop salt water pool attached to a fitness room (I recommend going up there in the evening after dinner and listening to Nightswimming by REM as you do a... More

Traveling to Battambang was sort of a fluke. While in Vietnam we were told by a fellow traveler we should visit to see the killing caves and the large colony of wrinkled lip bats that make a large exodus from a cave near the killing caves every night. We were intrigued so we put it on our itinerary. For accommodations... More

This place is in an excellent location. Metres from the market, one street from the riverside and night food markets. Rooms are good but the higher front facing rooms get beaten by the sun and are terribly hot by the afternoon. Otherwise good.

Stayed in the new Seng Hout Hotel. The room was very comfy. Good value and great location. The staff on reception were exceptionally friendly, helpful and went out of their way to help with onward travel. Great place to stay!

We (a family of 5) stayed at this hotel in 8 weeks, lived in two separate rooms. The personal of the hotel was very helpful, always smiling and wanted the best for us. They played with our children every day, and entertained them with funny ideas. The only bad experience were the ants - there were ants in out room,... More

We travel up from Phnom Penh to battembang after a particular ropey bus trip with sorya( cheap and nasty). We were met at reception only to be told we were staying in there other hotel across the road, too tired to argue we followed across the road and I'm glad we did! The room was fantastic and newly refurbished it... More

Stayed at the new Seng Hout which as other reviewers mentioned was partially under construction still. I should say the building was all complete, but they were still working on decorating so the hotel was sparse and the amenities were all at the old hotel so we had to go there a couple times to get change or rent a... Our family lived there for two month at the old hotel and we loved it. The staff was like family to us before we left, and they made good friends with our kids. They are authentic people. The staff working there is studens from the school behind the hotel. The school is also owned by the hotel. Half of the... More
