From the lobby to the rooms everything is filled with grand wooden carvings and furniture (lots of trees went into this place.....). Friendly staff and with a bit of patience you can get most of your questions answered. Very spacious, spotless and comfortable room, very good value (we paid USD25; 20 and 45 was also available). Balcony: depending on the...

The Banan is one of those Khmer hotels that answers the question, "What happened to all the trees in Cambodia?" It is a wooden palace. That said it is a nice hotel, with clean comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Be careful, though, about rooms on the far rigth side (as you go in) if you like to sleep in as...

Very well located hotel if you are arriving or leaving by bus as it is only a 2 minute walk from the bus stop (remember this when you are mobbed by tuktuk drivers upon arrival!) The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. They were happy to advise on restaurants, book bus tickets and change money as for some reason...

I enjoyed my first stay so much at Banan Hotel, that for my second trip to Batambang, I decided to stay there yet again. Great location, large rooms with modern and local furnishings, friendly staff. Choose the Superior Room to get a flat screen TV. Quiet location, but near transportation, Central Market, and restaurants.

very good value for the money! hotel is clean and the woodwork in the lobby is gorgeous. No breakfast offered - but there is a place about 1/4 mile away to eat. We had to leave the hotel to get our laundry done (this one wanted about 10X the normal price) and booked our taxis through the Asia hotel as...

This hotel is huge and full of dark mahogany furniture. Not to my taste, but the room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is not worth the extra $5 though, so just find a café nearby. The one selling point of this hotel was the amazing manager. Our bus was late arriving, but she sent out a tuk tuk...

We enjoyed every moment of our 6 day stay, such lovely staff, easy access to many local restaurants, transport offices within walking distance a bit of street noise early in the morning if you have a street facing room, good cable TV, excellent air-con, sadly swimming pool not yet completed in new annexe.

We stayed 2 nights in August 2013, together with our two children. Ordered family room and got two big rooms with adjoining doors = great. The hotel did not have a pool but the manager organized free entry at the local pool and that was better as they had a slide and a play castle pulse lots of kids to...

Stayed at the Banan for 2 nights while on bicycle trip through Cambodia. Huge room with very fast WiFi in room, cold AC, fridge, cable TV and breakfast, all for $20. Great deal! The bed was extremely comfortable (not the very hard mattress) and quiet in the room. Absolutely great place to stay. Some have complained about the abundance of...

“It is on a main "highway" just on the edge of the busy areas in town. It is a quiet place to stay but I would not stay in a street side room for obvious reasons. An upper storey room is always a good choice. There is a lift!”
