I spent a night at the Costa Real for business and didn't like it at all. It has good bones but is desperately needs a renovation. I staid in a corner room in the second floor. At first sight, it looked like a great room -spacious and with a huge bed. However, everything looks old, particularly the wallpapers and carpets....

I stayed here only one night, and considering all, I'm glad it wasn't more. My room was on 2nd floor, facing the main street and corner, so not exactly quiet. The bed was good and clean, all fine there. The bathroom had some (earthquake) damages throughout (see pictures) and especially the shower was a disgrace. I actually found the showers...

While this hotel is in a good location, within walking distance of most everything to see in La Serena... it is on the corner of a major road and does not have double paned windows so all you hear is traffic all night. The room was fairly comfortable but a bit run down. The whole place needs a bit of...

This is a centrally located hotel en La Serena. Medium sized with a friendly staff. Room was clean and decent sized, nothing fancy. The only sore point is the noise from the street, as my room was on the second floor facing the main avenue. Since is glass is only a single panel a lot of the street noise was...

The facilities in this hotel were great and it was well located but I didn't find it particularly friendly. It seemed to me that the staff were more interested in their business customers although some of the restaurant staff were ok. The breakfast was great with plenty of variety - even including lots of cakes - the Chileans have a...

Most of the reviews seem to be critical of its location, for me it was the perfect location because it is close to the centre of town and NOT on the beach. The walk to the beach took around 30 minutes along the central reservation of a road but a very pleasant one. The staff struggled at times to speak...

This hotel is one of the best in La Serena... but since it's opening in the early 90's, I do not think it has been remodeled and it is starting to show. Now with that said, my room was very specious and the bed was very comfortable. I was disappointed that the room's radiators did not work and it was...

La Serena is a beach city, but if you are brazilian certainly it won't be a beach you would you like to spend your vacations. But is a good city to stay one night if you are going to Atacama's desert comming from Santiago. You should consider make your pit stop here at Hotel Costa Real, because most part of...

I come to La Serena about 2 or 3 times per year. This is my first time at Costa Real, I was pleasantly surprised. Nice pool area outside, secure underground parking, 10 minute walk to both malls and many restaurants. Rooms are spaceous and clean. The WiFi worked great 2 of 3 days but always worked from the lobby. Good...
