Our room was great! But ask to see the room before because when we intended to prolonge our stay our room was already booked so we needed to be moved to another room and this was nothing compared to the one we had, so we changed to another hotel. We paid 100 usd per night with breakfast included (which was...

Overall the hotel itself is quite basic, however the staff and owner were very friendly and welcoming. We were made to feel very comfortable and helped at every request. If you are after basic but comfy then this is the place, it's also in the heart of San Pedro. Although the price was a little high (to be expected in...

On the main street, this is a pretty old hotel. Rooms are cleaned but the bed sheets are old. The room is falling apart. Behind is a night club so you wouldn't close an eye before 5 in the morning. The bed is falling apart as well and the matress is very old and weary. The guy at the front...

Sometimes a sense of masochism compels one to discover if somewhere really is as bad as reviewers suggest. The hotel has an ideal location although San Pedro is so small that distance couldn’t be an issue anyway. The room overlooking the small pool and patio seemed fine and the price was acceptable (at least, for this generally overpriced oasis) so...

Awful hotel, the photos on the website trick you. It's small, dingy and they make to many mistakes with the fees. They'l charge different prices to different people.

Good local hotel, but be careful which room you get. Book in advance if possible. Some rooms are very nice but for the same price some are small and a bit dodgey. However the staff are incredibly helpful and nice (most speak English) and for the price it's pretty decent. Don't be fooled by the adverts though - laundry service...

Worst Hotel we stayed on our trip. Vastly over expensive, staff does not speak a single word English, dirty, no new towels, no water for one night, breakfast was awful (they call it "buffet", but in fact it was bread, jam, scrambled eggs in glass bowl, tea and instant coffee). They charged 87 USD for a double which was worse...

I can confirm every word of tinamreynolds review... the poor maintenance, the door which was hard to open, the trickling hot & col water, the shower handles falling off. I assume we stayed in the same room, except that it showed one more feature at our stay: every time we flushed the toilet, part of the feculence water was running...

We stayed here for one night since the Katarpe was booked. With regards to Geiser del Tatio, the maintenance was very poor, the room door was very difficult to unlock, the handles on the shower kept falling off, the hot water tap in the sink was off since it leaked, and the cold water came out as barely a trickle,...

We stayed in San Pedro de Atacama for a couple of days in August 2008. Our travel agent arranged our stay at the Geiser del Tatio hotel. The hotel is quite average, with small rooms, even smaller bathrooms (hot water not always available) but clean and with friendly staff. Location is very convenient, as it is just in the center...
