The room was small and basic but clean. The shower was broken and you needed to hold the shower head while you showered yourself. The bathroom floor was wet and dirty. On check out we asked could we leave our backpacks in a storage room for a few hours but the receptionist refused.

We stayed at Eden Atacameno a night in the Matrimonial room with shared bathroom. Pros: - The care taker ladies are both very nice and extremely helpful despite not speaking much English. - The Bathrooms are kept clean - The room is spacious and clean - The common areas are nice and very big. Hammocks, lounging chairs, etc Cons: -...

We moved out of our first hostel (Juriques) and moved to this location as we got a better price and better facilities. The courtyard with hammocks is nice and has ample seating, including a separate area for smokers. There is a decent size kitchen with enough crockery and utensils (except for knives, which are for some reason scarce...) We stayed...

We had the same experience with the staff as another reviewer, Mike T.. Get a receipt each time you make a payment, or you may be accused of not paying and then have to spend a while arguing with them. It left a very bad impression. Also, the owner has several large German Shepherds who bark through the night, but...

When we checked in at the front office, the manager (rotund gentlemen with sunglasses and a scratchy beard) basically ignored us for while watching movies. We had to ask a maid to show us around and she very helpfully gave us a tour of this surprisingly large hostel including some nice rooms in back. The manager intercepted us during the...

I love this place! For me it has been perfect and a welcome respite from some less than clean places in Peru. One word of advice: San Pedro (and Chile in general) can be a bit of a shock to travellers coming from Peru or Bolivia because the prices are so much higher. Once I accepted this, things got a...

Simple clean rooms that aren't very big. For some reason twin rooms are cheaper than doubles (20k vs 25k). They have a nice garden and a small kitchen (with fridge) for guests. Shared bathrooms are OK, but hot water isn't always available.

Arriving from Bolivia we were a little shocked at the prices of accommodation in San Pedro, and this was on the cheaper side (25000 per night for a double room). Our room was on the smallish side but the bed was comfortable. There are 4 shower rooms available and 3 are at the other end of the hostel, it felt...

We are long term travelers with basic needs - general level of cleanliness and enough space for our (minimal) stuff. We had took the cheapest room we could find, which was still 25k pesos ($50). This was really expensive for what you get, but then again, that is all of SPA. The room was two twin beds without bathroom (cheapest...

We had two nights at the Hotel Dunas (which was great) but had to extend our stay in San Pedro by a night due to some transportation problems. Hotel Dunas was full, and after checking a few other hotels that were also full, we found this hotel/hostel. Our room was a double with private bathroom, and cost more than the...
