Couldn't you provide the very same services for a little less money? We would have stayed much longer! The vast majority of staff and guides are nice and very professional, the food is great, the place in itself has such a good vibe! Really even if we try hard, it is difficult to find any possible criticism to the place...

This place is just remarkable and the hotel made all the difference ! The ability to tailor make a 4 day itinerary and not feel we had ' got it wrong ' whilst others could go on endless gruelling hikes and also get the most from it ! We did most of the 1/2 day tours that involved some walks...

The whole experience at the hotel was very good. The excursions were well managed with plenty of choices to see the magnificent scenery. A comfortable walk to the local town...quite an experience. The offer a drop off and pick up service if required. I would strongly recommend the hotel. The food was good but Ostrich meat twice in 3 nights...

We spent 5 nights at this great place. Excellent service, food, guides and drivers. At arrival, we got a good plan for our visits during the whole stay. All was very well planned. The food was delicious and varied. The headwaiter is a remarkably friendly person, ever helpful and an eye on everything. The guides changed every day; they were...

Last December we made a long-time dream come true and went to Chile. One of our stops led us to the Atacama where we stayed at the Tierra Atacama, which turned out to be a very good decision right from the beginning. Yet the drive from the airport was an adventure as you pass by the most beautiful desert views...

We stayed here three nights, making sure to get in early on the first day so we could do an excursion and left late on the last day to do the same. So all in we were able to take 5 excursions, including one full day. It seemed to be a good amount of time, although maybe we could have...

Extremely friendly and helpful staff in all areas. Both the indoor and outdoor pools were a lovely experience and the menu and service in the dining room was excellent. A delightful way to end our holiday in beautiful Chile.

Located in San Pedro (about 6000 people) with an excellent view of the volcano. Their All Inclusive program offers some fantastic choices. We had Pamela for the guide and she was fantastic - very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about her region - get her if you can. Meals were fine but my experience with fish was average at best -...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tierra Atacama is a boutique hotel on the edge of San Pedro de Atacama. It was created by the Purcell family, long time owners and operators of hotels, famous in Chile for the excellent food and warm hospitality. Tierra Atacama provides guest experiences that combine outdoor adventure and sports with indoor comforts, hospitality and excellent service. Tierra Atacama’s architecture, interior design and gardens were designed by some of Chile’s leading creative talent. Our objectives were to be as authentic as possible, using furniture and accessories handmade with local materials, while also creating a place that allows guests to relax, spoil themselves and enjoy the good-life in this magical part of the earth. Our ambiance is casual and friendly; we want our guests to be comfortable in our common areas just as if they were in their own homes. Enjoy one of the welcoming private corners of the hotel such as a seat by one of the terrace fire pits, lounge next to the pool or relax on one of the shady outdoor decks. When night falls, take in the brilliant stars, bask in the peace and wonder that is the Atacama Desert. ... more   less
