Generally, the hotel is acceptable and cleaniness is OK. quite and old hotel without wifi...or at least the wifi not working. breakfast is sufficient choice to choose, but it's can be far from the room. lift is small and if you arrived in group, you have to queue up for the lift.

I knew ahead of time from other reviews, that this place was not good. However, I was told there were limited options in Chengde and tailored my expectations accordingly. Even so, when 2 out of the 4 rooms we had as a family kept losing electricity, and the staff was telling us not to worry about it, we knew what...

The room was excellent with working amenities although the hotel looks outdated. The bed was very comfortable and there was free WiFi in the room. Had a good night's rest. The buffet breakfast was quite good too.

The hotel locate in front of the lake, it will be very nice when walking around there. The hotel is a bit old but room is okay. Breakfast was bad and cleanness. Everybody go and rap the food and food quality also bad. Went there during autumn time and nothing can do around there. Room wi-fi was bad and can't...

Recently, we went on a group tour to Beijing and Chengde. The first impression was it was a very old building, lots of mosquitoes and also a weird insect flying around. When me and the rest of my family members left the hotel, I got mosquito bites.

Stayed here one night as part of our tour package. Had little expectation since our tour guide pre-alert us that this hotel is not as nice as the hotels Beijing. To our surprise, even though the hotel/ room look abit dated, the room is in tiptop condition. It's very well maintained, very clean and comfortable. Rather good spread of buffet...

We stayed there for a night as part of our tour package, a beautiful city! We arrived at night to a marvelous view, but I wouldn't say the same for the hotel, it reminded me of the budget hotels you can find in Malaysia and Ho Chi Minh city. The breakfast was an utter disappointment, I couldn't even find a...

I arrived and it was near empty. i don't think I saw anyone else in the hotel. That said, it was spotless, the staff were outstanding and could not do enough for us. We had breakfast in the hotel but ate out at local restaurants. There breakfasts were of good quality and plenty of it. The only negative comment is...

We stayed at this, supposedly, four star hotel in Chengde for just one very scarey night...As foreigners, the hotel staff escorted us across an alley to a tourist annex. The doors were padlocked, there wasn't a living soul in the building! They took us up to as I recall to either the third or the fifth floor by flashlight and,...

Our tour group booked into this hotel for our visit to Chengde. After reading the many 1- and 2-star reviews I was expecting the worst. But it was not as bad as that. The room is a fair size and yes the lighting is dim. The bed was comfortable and clean, though the floor carpeting was worn and stained. The...
