We stayed in the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment and we loved everything about it: excellent location, nicely furnished and very clean, comfortable beds, and absolutely fantastic owners, Jure and Ivana! The Stipisic apartments are close to everything you want to see and experience in Hvar. Even bakery, grocery store, and a small farmers market were just steps away. We listened to Jure’s recommendations on what to visit and where to eat and we enjoyed all of the places he recommended. If we would to visit Hvar again, we would book the same apartment without thinking twice! Thank you Jure and Ivana for the wonderful stay!

Recommendation (BEST part at the end!) - Hotel Villa Nora contacted me, the day before our arrival to Hvar, to inform me that there had been a mix up with our reservation. Instead of having a room for us for 4 nights they only had us down for 2. Natalie, the manager, quickly suggested putting us in a two bedroom newly updated apartment that her friend owned, said her bell man would meet us at the pier to take our bags and show us the way and offered us discounted tours due to the mix up. I wasn’t thrilled but happy to have a roof over our heads. Well, it ended up being amazing! Not only did we have tons of space in the apartment (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, patio AND breakfast every morning at the hotel), we had the nicest gentleman, Jure, who made sure that all of our needs were met and that we were enjoying our time. The young owner always had a smile on his face and was the MOST honest guy. Honest...Yesterday, we took a private boat tour on his boat with his skipper. The kids and I were under the impression that the price would be 350 kuna ($54) per person. Unfortunately, Jure informed me this morning that I was wrong and that it was 350 euros ($393). I almost died. 350 euros per person!?!? Jure felt bad about the miscommunication and discounted it to $1,000. I was still dying! Little Man and I had to visit 3 different ATM machines only to be told, at the last ATM, that we could not take out any more Kunas today. I quickly called B of A and got some help. I paid Jure this afternoon only to find him walking onto the patio, 10 minutes later, waving the stack of cash I gave him stating, “We have a problem!” (I was having a drink at this point. Very much needed! Thank G-d, Merrill had already laughed at the situation and told me to enjoy myself. Love that man!) I almost had a second heart attack. More money??? No! Jure informed me that I had over paid him. He sat down with me and explained, “I am not a crook. It was 350 euros for the boat not per person. Since I discounted it to 270 but you thought it was more, would it be okay if it stayed at 350 euros for the boat?” Relief! He even returned the extra tip that I was leaving for the skipper, since I thought I did not tip enough yesterday due to the price mix up, and gave me my money back in US currency. Talk about an honest man! Rare these days! AND...He said he would not charge us for our laundry being done since we were such great guests. On so many levels, I recommend his apartment if you ever visit Hvar.…

Everything about Stipisic Hvar was perfect. We stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment with a full kitchen and a patio. The rooms were beautifully furnished. The owners were a delight and very accommodating. The location was on a quiet street with easy access to the main square and if you have a luggage it was an easy, flat walk from the ferry. We highly recommend the Apartments Stipisic and Hvar.

Need to review this perfect little apartment. We had to leave our “luxury” hotel because it was booked for the weekend. What a blessing in disguise because this may become our little get away. Sleeps 4, with kitchen and Netflix on TV- perfect for our teenage girls when they are tired and want to stay in room. The beds and pillows are super comfy!! Very clean. View from window of church and fortress. location is superb- around corner from port and town center. 2 minutes to stores and cafes for convenience and waterfront harbour. The owners are very kind and willing to help with anything you need. We will return.

After visit Croatia for over 15 years I can say that this is the first apartement i will book again!!! You can reach shops and center of Hvar in few Minuten. Thank you for this wonderful weekend. Gordana & Lorenzo
