Outstanding hospitality. Great location. If I come back to Hvar, I will stay at Villa Nora. Natalija was a great host with good recommendations and went the extra mile to help me enjoy my stay in comfort!
We have been spent a fantastic holiday at Villa Nora. It is not only a beautiful location, delicious food and comfortable and clean room, it is much more than that. We were treated like part of a family and felt welcome every moment of our stay! We even got a spontaneous present after giving a compliment to their home-made food. We will come back and we can't wait!
The personal attention we received from Villa Nora was first rate. They met us where our taxi dropped us off from the ferry to pick up our luggage with a wheel barrow cart and the steward couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. The hotel is adorable — right inside the Old City, so has a very old authentic Croatian vibe. If you are looking for a beach resort, this is not the place for you (that is why we stayed at the Amfora for a second night to get a totally different experience). But being in the middle of the old city in a hotel that felt like a bed and breakfast was so special and unique. We absolutely LOVED the tapas and wine restaurant, Gurme, across from Villa Nora. Their menu and wine were exceptional. We loved it so much we went back twice. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly, it felt like eating at the home of an old friend! Villa Nora was also instrumental in planning what might have been the best day of our Croatia trip: a tour of the blue and green caves/lagoons. The company they work with is first rate and with two young captains at the helm of the boat (both of whom were born and raised on the Island of Hvar) they gave us a day we will never ever forget. That would not have happened without Villa Nora, so I cannot speak more highly of them. Breakfast was also wonderful in a quaint, private back garden. We were one of 3 small tables eating breakfast so it felt very special and exclusive. If you want a real authentic Croatian experience, I recommend Villa Nora without hesitation.…
I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a hotel with such outstanding, personalised service. The warmth of the welcome, the conversations with people who work in the hotel at the desk and at breakfast, the enthusiasm to help made it such a pleasant place to be. The only incredibly insignificant problem (our room was down a towel!) was dealt with with what seemed like genuine concern (as opposed to the usual politeness you would expect) and was fixed astonishingly quickly. On our second morning, we were surprised to find that they had noted all our breakfast preferences from the day before, so we were offered what they knew we preferred (eg how we have our coffee, that one of us had granola and the other didn’t etc). Speaking of breakfast,,, it was excellent. Our room was large and comfortable, with a great bathroom, windows and a balcony well placed for street watching, and some great extra touches. Wifi was fine. The hotel is set in the middle of the old town, so is fabulously positioned - it feels like you’re right in the heart of the town. That said - the old town is a rabbit warren of closely-positioned buildings and narrow lanes between them (many with restaurant tables along one half of the lane) so while we didn’t find this problematically noisy, if you’re looking for a very quiet location you’ll want to find a different area. But above all - I can’t get away from the genuineness and warmth of the service. It made our time at this hotel a real standout.…
