I only visited to use the restaurant and the food was very overpriced and not nice at all. The burger was a thin piece of squished meat and the plate was mainly chips. I wouldn't recommend eating here. The views are lovely though and the place has exotic birds (grey crowned cranes). I can't comment on the accommodation.

Its a great Hotel and Restaurant beside Lake Kivu. The ambience is wonderful and soothing. The quality of food is also praiseworthy. I give it 10 out of 10. Thumbs up! There are two clay tennis lawn and live animals are also there. Its a must visit for anyone who is visiting Goma.

Stayed 5 nights at Ihusi Hotel in February and I was unlucky enough to get a room which faced the steed. Well, this means no matter what, you will wake up at 6.30 every morning because of the noise. (these rooms face the most crowded and only road to the border crossing point with Rwanda). The good side of that...

I made a reservation about 4 months prior to my trip and I confirmed my booking again, one week prior to arrival. However, when my friends and I arrived, we were told they gave our reservation to someone else and we would have to take a different, more expensive room. When you are traveling on a strict budget, this is...

You have to come here in Goma and than visit this place... Then only one can truly understand the real meaning of OASIS... Its truly one of the most happening and beautiful place one can find in Goma... May be due to it's close location with the Rwandan and Goma border this place is left undisturbed.. Best place to relax...

Hotel Ihusi (the Wind) is beautifully situated on the shore of Lac Kivu, with beautiful sunset scenes. The charm ends there. I've stayed in several rooms. If you stay in building where the reception is, be prepared for dim, dingy rooms. Mine didn't have a shower curtain. There are more modern rooms in the block with the restaurant. I shared...

I stayed in Ihusi Hotel for 3 nights. A bit pricy for a run down room but conveniently located at la grande barrière, you can walk to the hotel. Staff is nice, friendly and helpful. Credit cards accepted and cash USD. As mentioned, the room I stayed in was in desperate need of renovation. Bathroom was bric-à-brac as well as...

Due to an earlier than usual departing boat for Bukavu we needed to overnight in Goma and the Ihusi hotel was a safe bet. Set close to the Goma/Gisenyi border post this hotel caters mostly for passers-by and business people, NGO’s and merchants. As a result the price tag is a bit higher 120 USD for a double room. It...

Situated right at the lake Kivu, the Hotel Ihusi is quite nice but it struggles with the realities of its surroundings. Make sure you get a room (against a $20 surcharge) that gives directly on the lake. The rooms on the garden have a balcony style entrance, which lacks of privacy. Staff are friendly, but certain services remain substandard. The...
