There were a lot of great memories built at the river lodge. We enjoyed it but there were defiantly low lights. Generally friendly staff, mediocre tours, mediocre food, a lovely river for swimming in. • when you buy the tickets, there are some promises made, you’ll see anacondas, sloths, tapir and other animals and When you realise that it isn't...

ENGLISH: It was an amazing experience to come back to for me, since I was born in Quito, but have lived outside the country for many years. This lodge was the closest one to the Cuyabeno reserve station (compared to 3+ hrs in canoe to get to other lodges), which for my family and I was a plus, since we...

We spent 4 amazing days in Cuyabeno River Lodge ! Great food, great guides, great tours ! The atmosphere of the lodge is really peaceful : we slept like babies, it was great! During the tours we were able to spot beautiful birds, including the famous tucan, snakes, caimans, piranhas, active and funny monkeys, all kind of spiders, frogs and...

The lodge was nice with a basic cabin with a musquitonet. Hot shower. The common area is very nice with many hammocks. The food is not good; always potatoes and less Meat or fish. Not really tasteful at all.

From the beginning of our trip up the river and eventually getting to the Cuyabeno lodge, we were amazed by everything. Monkeys, birds, caimans, river dolphins, spiders, a dream for anybody who loves nature. Our guide Gilver was a hawk for spotting distant animals such as sloths and toucans and owls! Recommend for any nature lover who is not looking...

Our disappointing stay started when we arrived at 830am and were kindly "asked" to have an initial rest (which we didnt want after a night on a bus and being just wide awake and ready for the adventure). So the plan was to arrive at 830am and do nothing until 6pm. What is the point in taking the night bus...

First of all, this lodge is not located anywhere near the other lodges on the river and as a result you are no where near the main attractions of the reserve such as lagoona grande or the native village. It is a 2 hour boat ride to lagoona grande and another 2 hours from the lagoon to the native village...
