We have been staying in the hotel in October for a week at the end of the big trip thru South America. The hotel is big and beautiful, with a wonderful garden inside. Mosquito nets are very useful because we had to sleep with the window open, there was stuffy otherwise. Unfortunately, there was no service. We couldn't even got...

I stayed here occasionally while working for two months in Muisne. As a young solo female I chose this hostel as it felt to be the most secure hostel in town. For $10 a night you have your own room (mosquito net included- you`ll need it in Muisne!) with a fan, reliable electricity and water (cold shower but it´s warm...

This big quiet hotel is the nicest (place for 100 persons) in Muisne with standard rooms. Don´t expect luxury, but you won´t need more for having a pleasant stay. The owner and his son are very friendly and they solucioned any problems at once. The is no restaurant anymore, but you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the cheap...

We were in Ecuador visiting family and a friend had arranged hotels for us in Muisne on the beach. The first one was Ok, but there wasn't enough protection from mosquitoes and we had our 21month old son with us and didn't want to take any risks. The 2nd one had open staircases, cat poo on the floor and cockroaches....

The beach was not surfable, as I thought when researching online. I heard that there is great surfing south of this town, however. This little town is a typical 3rd world place, but with such great people. We stayed at El Galapagos, which I assume is the only motel establishment in town.
