We booked this hostel the night before we arrived based off the price and reviews. We were looking for the least expensive spot we could find in Otavalo, and this is what we found. The hostel exceeded our expectations - the room was spacious, we had our own private bathroom, and Diego and his staff were wonderful. The terrace up top had wonderful views of the city and surrounding mountains. The breakfast was alright, not amazing but it was included so I can't complain. There wasn't any shampoo in our room which was different from the other hostels we've stayed at. Other than that we had a really lovely time here!

Upon arriving in Otavalo I decided to "splurge" a bit after being in quite the social environment the past few days. I stumbled upon La Rosa and got my own room for the same price as a dorm in a backpacker's hostel. Great deal. The room itself had great lighting, it was clean, had my own bathroom, and overlooked the street out front. The person at the front desk, Frankie, was very nice. There is no kitchen or meal options at this place but there are many restaurants and food places around, even next door. This was a great place to unwind, relax, and have some solo time away from dorms.

This is a great hostel! It is in the centre of Otavalo, very close to the Saturday Markets and a short walk to many shops and restaurants. Great spacious rooms with clean bathrooms in every room. There is a beautiful terrace at the top that over sees the whole of Otavalo! That is also the smoking area. The receptionists are also very helpful!. Would definitely recommend this hostel!.
