We were lucky to be able to spend seven nights at La Posada del Quinde. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with a heater provided. The breakfast that came with the room was a satisfying start to every day, and the menu was interesting and delicious, with reasonable prices and vegetarian options. The staff was always cheerful and accommodating...

I spend a week at La Posada del Quinde and didn't want to leave. The staff is wonderful, always smiling and Maggie, the owner, makes you feel right at home as soon as you arrive. Our room was comfortable and had plenty of storage space and we loved the view of the gardens and distant mountains. With the biggest market...

Maggie and her staff at La Posada del Quinde provided us with a wonderful five night stay. It is such a relaxing and comforting atmosphere. The food is delicious (the morning juices are to die for), the ambiance of the sitting area is inviting and the smiles on the faces of the staff are something I still fondly remember. The...

My husband and I had different views of this Posada. The difference came down largely to the noise from the Pan American highway that made sleep almost impossible for him on the first night. The location of the Posada is great for seeing the markets in Otavalo (a five block walk to the handicrafts market), but it is also near...

My three-night stay at La Posada del Quinde was pretty much perfect. Centrally located within walking distance from everything in the town, it’s a beautiful, peaceful place to stay in Otavalo. The room was very comfortable with gorgeous local décor, great bed & sheets, and a space heater for chilly nights. Bathroom was also great, with a good shower &...

Unfortunately my stay was too short. I only spent 2 nights at La Posada del Quinde. Maggie and her staff are the utmost in service. Maggie personally greets each of her guests and makes sure that they are well taken care of. The rooms are spotless and very cozy. The breakfasts, that are included in the room rate, are delicious...

This was a wonderful place to stay. Although the rooms are simply furnished, the ambiance of the common areas and garden courtyard is remarkable. We enjoyed the local weavings on the walls, the Friday musicians, the friendly and very helpful staff and the enthusiasm of the other guests.

The two of us really enjoyed traveling to Otavalo and staying at Posada del Quinde. Maggie, the owner, could not have been more hospitable and informative. She takes great pride in offering her guests a memorable experience. There were notable touches at the hotel, such as the complimentary bottled water, tea, and coffee available for guests. The water was a...

Frankly, I cannot add anything to the rave reviews this lovely hotel has been receiving here so mostly I am writing to give our long overdue thanks (we stayed there in March 2012) to Maggie and Flor for their helpfulness, hospitality, friendliness and great food. Their staff is wonderful and treated wonderfully by their employers. We are seasoned travellers in...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in late August and it was a wonderful place to stay. While the staff is very friendly and the rooms are quite lovely, the best part is easily the owner, Maggie. She introduced herself to us after we had arrived and helped make sure we were able to do all we...
