Great location for this cute little Hostal. Very close to all the auction in town....two block away from the Market and almost the same distance to the saturday Market at Plaza de los Ponchos. Breakfast and lunch/dinner is offered for a small price in this Hostal and the staff there are the most wonderful, especially Lucy, who was very helpful...

very beautiful rooms, good diner and breakfast, but the patio isn't so good for people who have asthma because of the smell of fungus specially when the tiles of the patio are wet, the same problem occurs in the restaurant , the wall behind the rietmats have the same smell

The smell you're writing about is probably because of the plants and natural tiles, the same ones we have in the restaurant. These tiles are cleaned profoundly every 2 weeks and may smell wet after cleaning, , but that's all in my opinion and we never had any complaints about that. Anyway, we're glad you enjoyed your stay.

Great location. Nice clean rooms. People who work there arranged reliable fairly priced transport for us twice. They had a driver pick us up in Papallacta and drive us to Otavalo. Then same driver took us to the airport when we were ready to leave town. Note: it is about the same distance from Otavalo to the new airport as...

Location is walking distance to all the markets. Building has Spanish decor and style with solid wood floors Clean rooms - ours had cob webs and lamps were really dusty Hot water for showers Room was above the restaurant and kitchen. Quiet after it closes.

thank you for pointing out dust in the rooms, we'll take better care of that! By the way, the prices mentioned in the hotel reception an on our website are including all taxes and services. Only breakfast is complementary.

Otavalo was our first stop on our tour through Ecuador. Very nice place & certainly the market. This hotel is quit basic at our European standards altough runned by somebody of Holland. The rooms are spacious and clean and the restaurant is also good value for money.

Centrally located near the city's center, it's in the heart of shopping and dining territory. The bathrooms were spotless- which is a big one for me, and the beds were comfortable. We stayed for 8 nights with our two young children, ages 12 and 6 in two different rooms. The first room had the advantage of being above the wood...

Very secure. Right in the middle of the city. Beautiful courtyard. Wooden floor boards a bit creaky. Fantastic water pressure in shower. Plenty of hot water. Basic room. Restaurant attached which had good food. Helpful staff. Noisy doorbell that could be heard throughout at all hours.

A delightful place in the heart of Otavalo; probably the best place in town. The owners have created a charming environment that is run with a European sensibility about service. They speak English (Spanish and Dutch as well) and provide great information about anything you would need in the area. They have the best showers in Ecuador, and the place...

Beautiful hostel (12 rooms plus small apartment), good rooms (beware doubles, as often in Ecuador, extremely small), great location (near the main square, short walk to the market/Plaza de Ponchos), vriendly staff and excellent restaurant (though our experience was to avoid the cocktails - only tried once but 6 people, none good). Beer (most expensive we've seen in four months...

This is a lovely, cozy hotel with a wonderful location. It is only 1/2 block from the main square where there is much action. Our stay was during the Christmas season, so each day we could hear music playing from the square or nearby alerting us to the fact there was some festivity happening. If you come here for the...
