Stayed here for one night with a group tour. Lovely grounds (including 3 llamas and swings!). Accommodation is cabins spread over the grounds - spacious and very comfortable. At night you can have the open fire lit in your room & bed comes complete with hot water bottle :-) Food is good altho breakfast a bit boring

We stayed here recently as part of a trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos islands. It felt as if the hotel were carved out of history as, indeed, it was. The property was a farm (including raising guinea pigs--a regional delicacy) in a previous life. The rooms are quaint and comfortable although not fancy. We ate several meals here and...

Great spot for an effective work meeting. You're close to the city but removed enough to feel like at a retreat. The hotel is pleasant, low key, clean, with very good food inspired by local traditions and taking advantage of the garden that is onsite. We enjoyed all the meals as the chef seems very experienced. My only issue is...

Our room was clean and pleasant, with a bedroom, bathroom w/ shower, and a little living room with comfy chairs and a fireplace. There is no heating system in the rooms, which is typical of most homes in Otavalo, but an employee came in and lit a fire in the fireplace every night, which was much more enjoyable than any...

Stayed here with my wife, her sister and brother-in-law as part of our Ecuador/Galapagos tour. The accommodation is in bungalows set in large and pleasant grounds. The cabins are Ok. Perhaps a bit tired and have no heating apart from solid fuel fires which the staff light in the evenings. The food was a bit disappointing; particularly the breakfasts where...

We stayed two nights at the Las Palmeras in Oct. It was low season there, so the hotel was not full when we arrived. Later a group from France came, and it was more lively. Originally I couldn't get two nights at the Las Palmeras, so I booked one night there and one night at their sister property, Hacienda Cusin....

We stayed at Las Palmeras for a week and had a wonderful time. The staff is very helpful and happy to assist you with any request. It's a few minutes from the artisan market in Otavalo. Short drives to lakes and other must see towns. Weather is great during the day, a little chilly in the evenings but not a...

We stayed here one night, when we discovered our 2 night res in town was only for one night. The place is lovely, outside of town, with a beautiful garden, llamas, and a friendly golden retriever, Homero, Nice view of the surrounding mountains. Peaceful. It gets cold at night, so they make a fire for your fireplace (each unit has...

My husband and I stayed at Las Palmeras in late September 2015. We found the inn charming, peaceful, and beautifully decorated. We stayed in one of the cabins and found it quite lovely. It had a beautiful stone fireplace that was lit for us each evening, a separate bedroom with a very comfortable bed, a lovely sitting area, and a...
